What r ur thoughts bout 🚬

I live in Ny state. Ten years ago you could smoke anywhere, bars, restaurants, parks, or even outside. Now we pay $10 per pack. No smoking in restaurants, bars, motels, company vehicles. Now there are adding parks and malls. The mall really? No where on their property can u smoke. That's going really suck for the employees there or going there. I do understand the affects of second hand smoke, but when u r outside the amount of second hand smoke is minimal. There even is a law in the talks of making it illegal to smoke in your OWN car if there are minors init. I smoke 2 packs a day, quitting is very hard when your daily life has a lot of stress. one day I do hope to quit and not have to worry bout all these no smoking laws, but til then I'm curious to see what others feel on this.
-
Well that smoke get stuck in everything. I wouldn't want to walk around the enclosed mall with the stench of smoke always stick there.
-
Indiana 5$ a pack 50 a carton. Its a big money pit , but still do it😞
-
Pretty sure in Canada there is big trouble for smoking with a minor in a car. Felony? Anybody from Canada who knows?
-
I think it should be illegal to smoke in general. Not only are you possibly risking others health but you are basically slowly killing yourself.
-
Why would you want to smoke with kids in the car? Seems
Selfish to be honest. I was sickened when it came in but I got over it.. Turns out its way better, and I'm a smoker! -

I smoke and I know lots of other people who do. I'm not dead or dying and neither are they
The people who run new York are people who have never picked up a cigg and don't know how it feels to smoke
There also products of the d.a.r.e campaign
I'm tired of anti smoking laws. if it's a legal substance I should be able to smoke it just about anywhere I want. -
Ive tried it a few times it feel good the first time if your stressed but then seconds is crap, I dont like it.

Honestly, all I hear are excuses. I have been quit for three years. Turn those reasons for bitching into reasons for quitting. I smoked for fifteen years. Sure it's not easy quitting, but it is worth it. Just my opinion.

As a former smoker, I have mixed feelings on this. I firmly believe in an individual's right to smoke, but I also strongly believe in the rights of those that don't want to breath in second hand smoke, especially children and the elderly. I look at it like this, if you want to smoke, smoke. Just use your head and dont smoke around non smokers. We don't stop fat people from shoving cheeseburgers or pasta into their face, right? The difference there is crumbs wont kill people like secondhand smoke will.
The point is, use your head. Realize that smoking effects others around you and nobody wants that. Also, non smokers, don't be so overly sensitive.

I've done the research and anti smokers extort stuff to a large extent
(while most of it is true they extort a lot of it, do you really think the odds of cancer go up 75% the first time you smoke?) -
Besides you have to smoke a very significant amount to risk cancer
How about I smoke, and if I get cancer or a hole in my throght I'll admit your right

I don't smoke around kids
Or non smokers -
Don't forget 2nd hand smoking is harmful.

Smoking outside pubs and clubs actually gives me time to hear what people are saying. Also i have a 3 year old and if im parked waiting for someone I'll get put of my car to spark up. The laws are bad when it comes to someone who works in a shopping centre or 'mall' coz they have to go out with the civvies while in uniform, kinda embarassing or something....

Oooh in Nevada my moma created that rule but it is allowed casinos and stuff but no public places.

When they first started talking about no smoking laws in Canada, everybody freaked out trying to say it would kill businesses, infringement on their rights, etc.
Once the laws were enacted and people had time to adjust, it turned out all of the worry was for naught. Businesses were fine and the minor inconvenience to walk a little further to smoke ended up being okay. If anything, it's made it better for everyone to enjoy going places without having to throw their stinky smokey clothes right into the wash as soon as you got home.
I say embrace the no smoking laws. You'll be happier and better off in the long run.

✊I believe In all rights😳 (Yeah I went there, I used bold ✊)
I just had this argument in Haypi this morning because the government is taking more and more of our rights. Smoking bans are just part if it... -
I don't even smoke, but why should I not be allowed to smoke in a bar?
1. Kids - if you have a kid in a bar you got bigger problems then second hand smoke 😳
2.You work there - find another job (if you don't like the table placements because you always hit your knee - you going to ban tables HELL NO)It should be a bar owners right to say whether or not he wants to have a smoking or non-smoking bar
You don't like it LEAVE...
There's plenty of Non-Smoking bars around pick one and stay the HELL out of mine 😒You can get sun cancer from the sun
😒 Oh let's make it a law that all restraunts have to have a certain thickness of curtains 😒
NO you don't like the curtains you leave 😒These CIVIL INTREST GROUPS 😷😁
The only INTREST they have is there own 😒 -
Warning: Non-smokers die healthy.

Cigarettes are bad mm'kay.
but so is alcohol over time. And having to take certain medical drugs over time. So is not excercising or stimulating your body. So is fast food. Shit, it's even bad for you to endure enough stress to fuck up your mental health. But it's a free country. And these things are legal. Smoking inside is rediculous. It's disgusting and you shouldn't have to walk into a mall through a puff of smoke. But to ban it all together is absurde. Don't smoke kids. It will kill you. It will make you smell gross. And makes working out damn near impossible. I would know, I buy a carton of newports once every month or so. -
I don't eat anyone smoking around me. Period. It gives me headaches and just plain smells disgusting. Here in Michigan, you can't smoke in any public place and I am glad for that law. The only exception should be bars, though. If you are willing to go into a bar with alchohol (which is much much much more dangerous than cigs) you should be willing to take some secondhand smoke. I hate when people are standing outside a bar, smoking and I have to walk through it.

OK. So what do you think of this? I know someone who has had a genetic disease, ulcerative colitis, for 40+ years. If he stops smoking, he gets really sick -- went to Mayo Clinic once, thinking he was dying. As long as he smokes, it's like there is no disease -- ZERO! Is it ok for him to smoke? (Check it out in Wikipedia. This is no BS.) Maybe he gets a license to smoke?!
