  Yup its a fine if u smoke in a car with someone under 16 ... Yet if someone under 16 is smoking they get nothing ... Right now they are trying to pass a law making it illegal to smoke within 10 of any place a minor frequents and also trying to pass a law no smoking in appartments even ur own

  What's annoys me is that smoking is legal if you're of age. But the government is making it harder and harder to smoke with all the laws and constant tax increases on them. They want everyone to quit do they say but they actually don't. Think about the billions upon billions of dollars a year they would lose from big tobacco donations/ taxes as well as the $5 tax per pack ( in new jersey). The government makes more money per pack of smokes in jersey than the manufacturer AND store selling them combined. So I say let me smoke or just ban them completely but because of how lucrative of a business it is for the government they never will

  They should exercise illegal. I don't want to smell amsweaty people in public so let's ban exercise as these people are infringing on my right to clean non stinky air

  Thanks, and wow they are pretty serious up there about it. Hopefully some more canadiens smokers and nonsmokers start commenting to see their thoughts since it is way more serious there.

  And reading is my favorite hobby. Over games and tv I find reading much more relaxing and fulfilling. And I have never smoked so I can not add much to this debate.

  Currently, it is illegal to smoke in a car with a passenger who is a minor in the state of California. I would expect then that it is reasonable to assume that NY could certainly pass a similar law.

  You don't seem to get it. Cig smoke is harmful. I smelled the shit growing up and it caused me to have lung problems when I was a kid. Body odor is disgusting but not harmful. You say you don't advocate anything that harms children yet its cool to smoke in public where kids can inhale it. Contradict yourself more. Brilliant.

  You don't seem to get it. Cig smoke is harmful. I smelled the shit growing up and it caused me to have lung problems when I was a kid. Body odor is disgusting but not harmful.   I fail to see how religion could be considered a crutch. People choose to go to church. It's not like if they don't they'll go into withdrawals. Or if they don't go they can't live without it. Try going a day without cigarettes B. I dare you.

  Here is Australia there is already a law in place for smoking in your vehicle with a minor which in my opinion should have been done a long time ago. I work in a bar/club that has a "smoking room" which is basically sectioned off by sliding glass doors and has vents but as a non smoker it is extremely hard for me to breathe in there, although we also have an outdoor smoking area which I have no problem with at all.

  Basically I have no issue with smoking as long as it is not forcing non smokers to be exposed to it... And so long as I don't have to kiss one, total turnoff.
