Why should they? How much money do you guys want to give to the government?? The answer to all your questions is smaller government. Less taxes. Ask yourself how America survived before all these taxes were created.Dino Marchetti wrote:

Capital gains are a different tax rate.Could someone explain to me why the rich pay less (percentage-wise) in taxes?
I never really understood that.

I think that America is a great country, why you might ask? Well I think it's great because I can stand up and say that I disagree with the path we are taking. I personally don't like the president right now, I also haven't cared for any of the presidents since Ronald Reagan. But I look at how petty we have gotten over the issues that plauge our society that we can not move past the party lines to fix things. If you dig into the economy and look to see how it has changed over the last century, you can easily see that there is a pattern, a cyclical cycle of highs and lows. To place the blame on any one person is a joke, to say that Bush or Obama are to blame for the economy tanking is nothing short of an insult to capitalism.
-
There are many factors that cause the economy to fluctuate, and although the actions of a group of people can shorten or prolong these periods of highs and lows, Americas capitalist system will ultimately correct itself. Overall the main problem I see is that we won't learn from the mistakes of others. Why? Because we are Americans, we can do anything no matter how hard, no matter how slim the chance for success, we will do what many have failed to achieve.

I have a right to property, and the government takes it and gives it to whoever they want. Just like how we have to pay for illegals who are injured.

You do pay taxes for the needs of others. How do you think roads are built? Sewage systems? The entire fucking infrastructure. Where do you think the money comes from?DRAMABOT 5000 wrote:

Who the fuck cares if you pay a bit more taxes. It benefits you in the long run as well. Medical care is to the point where pretty much no one can afford it without insurence. And the insurence companies are being nit picky. In essence killing peope by the thousands just so an already lucrative businsess can make more money. I put people's lives I've Tthe insurence executives billion dollar a year paychecks. SorryShouldn't 👆

You guys don't get it. Charity has a place in society. But charity is not the responsibility of the state. Mandated charity is not charity. It is socialism. And socialism is the opposite of liberty.Belial, they obviously cannot even comprehend being decent people.

What I always like to say, the government knows better than you.

I'll take green energy as an example since it is a main topic of discussion. Take a look at many of the places that have tried green energy, Italy, Holland, France, Germany, Great Britain. They all share a couple of things in common, one thing is that they all started making major strides in green energy before the United States, they all have proportionately more land dedicated to green energy production, and the third thing? They are all either backing off from the production of green energy, or are slowing their research of new green energy. Why? Because at this point in time with the tech we have and the state of the the world economy, they can not justify throwing that amount of money into the programs. Yet here we are, denying drilling permits and pipelines, and pushing with full force, the programs that our allies are pulling away from. But I've gotten off topic, America is great and will always be my home, and I know she will make it through this rough patch.

No, it isn't. He was saying free health care is charity which doesn't belong in government. I'm saying if it's in government, it's not charity.🔥zUntamed🔥 wrote:

Good question. You're not going to like the answer. First, stop spending money we don't have. History tells us only hyperinflation or total collapse will solve this.Dino Marchetti wrote:

Exactly. It's an infringement of liberty. You want to help sick people? Start a charity. I'll even donate to it. But liberty dictates I choose how much help I provide.Dino Marchetti wrote:

He said that it isn't charity if the government forces you to pay for it. It is charity though if you decide to donate off of free will.

The problem mick is private charity isn't working at all. So we need other solutions
