When I moved from my 3GS to my 4 I had to put my password in. I just checked my old 3GS cause I reset it and gave it to my kid to use for watching movies and such. After installing tw it asked for a passwordAnd whose manuel?😜
Well this blows his latest "story" away. I'm tempted to go try this on my old iPhone.

So guys why didn't this happen to me I had my game on old phone now it's on new phone. When I gave my old phone to friend I formatted and reinstalled new os. No I play with old acount on new phone and he started playing as well.
Is there something I should do when I got my new phone I just signed into old apple I'd and old game center and all my stuff was still there.
But is there a chance that some day something could happed cause that Udid thing. ?? -

No no. Just make it where you have to message support to reset. Problem solved.Ok, simplest solution that protects everyone.
One account, one device.
If you want to play on a new device you need to transfer your account.
But, you won't be able to do as I do, play on iPad or iPhone (I have the same account on two devices)

I still don't believe a word of this story. So you reset your device, your friend downloaded TW and then reset your account by accident.
How did your friend know about turf wars? Maybe you told him about it. So he DLs it and starts to play, then he realizes right away that he is playing on your account and not a new one for himself... So he resets the account, do you think he read the disclaimer right above the reset button that said all game stats will be removed. Your friend didn't think to ask you about it? I mean if you're the one that told him about the game and that's why he was playing it then common sense would say he would talk to you about a problem he had. A simple "hey man, how do I log out out of this awesome game so I can play it myself" No call? No text message? If you say you never told him about TW, and he just happen to DL the TW game the same day you reset your device and gave it to him. Well then you should go but some
Lottery tickets cuz you'll have better odds of winning that. -
Hmm maybe each person could be given some setting options. Obviously some players have pumped more money into this than others and should have extra security. I would like to ad, that the analogy between a tv and this app is completely unfounded because there is no insurance on digital media.. Although if you turn off your xbox while its saving it will corrupt the file and that my dear watson is more apt..But ull notice that there is a warning saying 'do not turn of etc.etc' because there is no insurance and this is their legal disclaimer infact... And funnily even though this game tends in real money, it does not so actually is liable for untameds lack of knowledge....
There does need to be a warning like any other save/load platform😞
I think we've all learned alot from this thread.... We'll havr to see
-
But after you clean you device you think your good to go. You don't think after a reformat there's still files linked to you information. This is something that many people could screw up and not alot of info on it.
A password for reset would solve the now if he had to tell his friend his password to reset I wouldn't even post. But cause this mistake is possible for anyone selling there device the should be a preventative security featur so this doesn't happen.
And I want a password So I can feel ok giving my friend my phone on the profile screen. -
I've been playing less 2 months and I know that you can't remove the account from your device without having to contact support. I know that doesn't help if the device is stolen, but in the case of selling a device everyone needs to know that they have to do this. Hopefully this thread at least accomplishes that. Is there anything in the TOS about this? I haven't read it in awhile, I know it's a violation to sell your account, but is there anything in there about transferring an account?(I know it's been brought up in the forum)
-
Here's my final thoughts. I personally would feel safer with some changes done to the reset feature. That saud I think the game seems to be adequately protected. Chained hunter. Though my personal opponion is that you should e given another chance I have to admit there's a lot of fault with you. You've been here two years. You know the ropes. If support doesn't answer you know exactly who to pm to get reliable info (twoplayers are me and mystery. Who both know how this works). That said we need a new how to post explaining how to remove an acct. I will work on it an it should be out tomorrow or the next day and we can have it stickied. Should help support out as well. As I said these are my final thoughts for this thread. Peace ✌

Steve: I never said I didn't tell him about TW. I DID tell him about TW. Thing is, he disnt know my TW name, so he didn't know he had my account. He reset, and don't know it was my account. Dyer reading your comment, I called and asked him all the details. He said he did in fact have the account ChainedHunter on his device. Also, he downloaded TW the day AFTER I reset it. I fail to understand why that's so unbelievable.

I thank everyone here for the input and knowledge. I have learned a lot today about being careful when selling your device. I would still love to see your password on that reset button. But this is some great info for anyone trying to get rid of a device.

The fact that he had an account on there and didn't think to ask you about it is what I find "unbelievable". If I bought something from my friend and his account was on it, I would at least say something to him about. Whose account did he think it was? Obvivously it was yours. Im sorry this happen to you if true, but in life nothing is fair.
The TOS says youre responsible for your account and password, wether its in your possession or not. Nick can't go against his own TOS, if he did that for you, everyone would be bother him about everything.
Everyone is asking about protection for their account, well the TOS is Nick's protection for his game. In this case Nick followed exactly what the TOS says.

How was I to properly protect my account, if I had no fucking clue how?

You did know how, you said you tried to contact support. You shouldn't have sold your phone til they got back to you to remove your account.

It's against the TOS to give anyone your password.

All I'm asking for is a restore to my turf limit. I don't think it's that much to ask.

You shouldnt have sold it UNTIL they got back to you. You obviously knew you had to remove the account, otherwise you wouldn't have tried to contact them at all.
That right there is why others and myself are having a hard time believing your stories. Many of your statements are contradictory to themselves.
My last thoughts on this subject.

The timing DIDN'T MATTER because they NEVER got back to me. It's been about a WEEK. I don't think they're even aware I asked. Since there was no response, I thought that restoring the device would do it. I thought the account WAS removed. How is that contradictory to anything?
