do u belive in heaven?👼
Forums › General Discussion › do u belive in heaven?👼-
A logical conclusion must be made on the basis of truth. Failing absolute truth one must come to the most likely conclusion.
As the arguments for or against the question of God are supported on both sides by great thinkers, and baring in mind no one argument usable to satisfy a fully objective measurable formula, one must take a side. In short the validity of an argument in this case is subjective as such any conclusive statement must be lead however much by emotion.
In short. People belive what they want to. The only honest ones are those that realise this fact. -
Life is too short. I want to live in a world that is good. I have realised that it dies not matter if god exists to fight the good fight. I am comfortable in my skin, I have followed the intelectual path for years and not found a conclusion so I admit defeat happy in the knowlege that I have tried and fought against both atheists and threists to find the truth.
For me belife in god feels right, it helps me when I am in times of need and if I did not have it I know I would have given up on cirtain trials where by I did the right thing. Though I am not going to argue that this will work for everyone.
Live and let live there are both atheists and theists that are assholes. It is these people who I oppose
ps if I wrote thrusts in there anywhere that's theists. Damn autocorrect

Nope.

No! So Jesus died for our sins? And then he went to heaven... That's a sacrifice? Because his dad is god, if ya ask me I'd rather be in heaven and be gods son. Aka a rock star. It's all bull,

no. do i believe people are too dumb to acknowledge the fact that our human brains are capable of creating crazy and imaginative ideas like heaven and that man made the idea of god and heaven and hell because they didn't have the science then to understand how the world works? hell yes.

Actually he gos to the land of the dead and then he comes back to talk to his desciples and tells them he has been to the land of the dead THEN assends to heaven. Honestly if your going to oppose something know why you oppose it...The heavy stone in front of the tomb had been moved and his body was no longer there, therefore he had ascended into heaven.
See if you can spot the logical fallacy in this line of reasoning.

If you actually think about religion is backed by logic and vice versa. How possibly can you believe in the big bang if you had no religon, it would make absolutly no sense. The whole Big Bang idea of everything from nothing would make no sense if there was no divine intervention. If there was no religon how could you explain cosmic order? As if everything just acidentally fell into order by itself and have absoluty no planing by a divine figure in it. If anything there is no logic unless your open to religion.Nope, I am logical.

No.

I do

I do... For those who don't, I hope you're right, for your sake.

How do you believe an explosion placed earth with the perfect distance and tilt from the sun so humans could survive. How do you believe a single cell evolved into millions of different types of single and multicelled organisms. I doesn't make a pennys worth of cents.

Just a plain old no!!!

I do absolutely!

The only explanation I have for heaven is that it must be what it is at the end of the universe (not time-wise). It is the only thing that we know/have heard of that could be there.

Nope

Cosmic order? You mean like all the chaotic and destructive supernovas going on constantly? Or maybe the planets that get sucked up in an instant by a black hole?Mr. Chris wrote:

Is it not also true that these ideas only become myths once a more objective alternative exists to replace it? Not all thoughts of the distant past are faulse. Just look at Plato, and his idea that the world was constructed from tiny building blocks. The Rhino wrote:

So yes it is JUST an assumption.

Do you have any evidence for the existence of heaven?
-
For real? Kill yourself to find out how everything stops. Your ideas are sadly amusing, especially the ones that include Jesus. Tell me now, can I bring my dog?
