New map.
Fresh start.
Exactly the same.
Enough said....because what's the point of punching codes for hours if you will never get close to the top.

Duh duh duh dumb.
-
Hey it's feasible. It also encourages new players by not having them give up as they will have the hopes of being near the top.
-
No
-
Everybody starts at the bottom. You got to put in the work.
-
Have fun on an empty map, those players who have been playing for so long are what makes this game.
If you want to be number 1 then get punching on this codes. People retire or slack off. Belial was #1 for a while and fell off the throne.
Personally I don't play for the leaderboards, I play for this is a game of survival. This us one of the simplest, and yet hardest games to balance yourself correctly. 1 wrong step and you can be targeted... You can choose what you want to do. I am wanting to hop from Perth to Darwin, not sure if anyone has done that or even if it's possible.
Basically, if you can't find something you want to do, then go play something else.

What happens to the TW leaders that have spent days to make it to the top?

They would keep playing this version.
-
It's not like everyone would migrate to the second version and the people who have put in effort for this version would be ruling over nothing.
My point is that I can spend hours of my free time in a week punching codes to become the strongest person in my local area and some guy who has been playing for years can still rip through my local area ruining any chances of me being capo since he would have an exponentially greater number of mob members.
I personally play for the leader boards, so perhaps, this isn't the game for me, but I believe that the concept is great and I could have a much better playing experience in the thick of an actual battle between people I can actually win against.
Yes, I could put in the effort to punch codes all day, but it's a waste of time IMO. People have been given much longer amounts of time (years) to mob up, so I don't believe the game is very user friendly to people with playing styles like myself.

How do I get the inactive mobs in my mob that all the top mobsters have? (rhetorical question)
Cuz even if I put the effort, I'll never get those mobs members. Not unless Nick built in a system that takes out people from your mob that haven't logged in to the game for a set tine period. This way top mobster can't alway be on top simply because they got in first. You should not only gave to work to get to the top but you should also have to work to maintain it.

So what Nick starts a new TW every 2 years? Every month? Every week? Just cause some other noob whines that they are not the strongest.
No you can't get those that are inactive. But everyone retires or takes a break. It has taken those on the leaderboard 2 years to get there. Guess what. It will take you at least as long.
Get over yourselves. The game is what it is. If you don't like it get out.

Further I note that not one of those pushing for a new TW2 have a half decent mob meeting even a minimum suggested mob of 100 per level. Just pathetic, I bet in 2 weeks on your "TW2" you would find something else to whine about.
I bet your the one always complaining about life not being fair also.

Let's take Mickey Dunn played 2 years punches a lot has spent a lot of money to maintain a strong mob. Should we drop his mob by 20k? No! Yes you will not get to the top mobster list until about two years, I have seen people the accountant, Funky Buffalo finish ICM with near to 30k. Yes they put in a lot of effort but is this effort anywhere near mickey dunns? And what do you think people are gonna do on the new one? Punch! Because everybody would have an even chance to get to the top and you will be saying, 'Turf Wars 3 Petition'
-
Yeah this is a long term game spent building and protecting your empire and making a name for yourself. The thousands of other players doing the same thing is what makes it difficult and therefor rewarding when you accomplish certain goals.
May I suggest top girl or FarmVille? Might suit you better sweetheart. 💗😚 -
How often does the big guys rip through a town and destroy it? Generally you play at your mob size. Viper would have no interest in caping me unless I had loot on the turf. I personally the community is what makes the game fun. And everybody is created equal from 15 to 60 girl boy or somthing in between. Funky buffalo went through the icm and is at like 24k that puts you in some elite company. Once you get where players like Johnny O , mystery , das heyena are unless you get in a war the game looses a bit of luster but this is only my opinion.

No Turf Wars 2! 👊 harder longer!!
-
@Hyena: never said I was for or against this idea. I simply stated that I can never catch up to the top monsters even by putting the effort into the game. You are right people do retire. But there also people that stay. Many of the top monsters that are on the leader board are still very much active. I wasn't talking about catching up to the retired monsters. I was talking about catching up to the active top mobsters.

This is such a bad idea. The guys at the top have worked hard to get there. Not being funny but you have hardly put much effort into TW. Leaderboards are good but they aren't the meaning of the game, I have never considered wanted to get on the leaderboards. I enjoy the game for other reasons and accept there are people better than me just like everything in life.
-
I hate this idea. I have not been playing for an extremely long time. And I hope this never happens. Deal with the good players and get good yourself. If you are weak it is your fault. Nobody except new players would join. And even I, who am not that good would never consider joining 2.0.
I think most players will support me on this... -

Anyone who agrees with this please read the man's thread about making the game fair. You can add a bunch of suggestions that would make the game fair.
-
Terrible idea for all the reasons stated so far.
@Silent Shadow: The game hasn't lost its luster for me.
@dagamer: You're missing the point. Mobsters take a break from punching codes, quit punching codes, & retire. That's the only way I got to where I am on the mob leader board. When that happens, others mI've up. That's the way it's always been.
As Bat Smurf said, Micky Dunn finished multiple code sites - 3 that I know of. -
@Mystery:
I get the point. But you are simply making an assumption about how people behave and that is very difficult to do in any situation as no1 is the same. I agree people take a break, quit or retire. But as I said before that doesn't have to happen. I was merely pointing out that no matter what I do, I will not get those inactive mob members that vets have.Forget quiting or retiring (since if that happens I dont have to deal with them). Let's take "taking a break from punching." Taking a break implies that, they will return to punching. Theoretically, if they return and punch all the codes, no matter what I do, I'll never get to their mob size. Not as long as they are playing actively.
It's pretty silly to have to wait for vets to quit/retire so new players can rise in the Leaderboard (seems more like a legacy board if anything).
-
With my posts above, please note that I am not saying those things I support of a new TW. I was simply rebutling the argument some people posted here saying that if I too spent two years with dedication, I would be a top mobster and on the leaderboard. I was pointing put the flaw in that argument.

I respectfully disagree. I don't knw about you but in RL, I never had to wait for someone to "quit/retire" (replace those withapplicable terms for a RL situation) to be able to get on "top."dagamer01 wrote:

But this particular situation cannot/should not be compared to RL anyway. We are talking about a game not RL here.
-
Belial took a break from punching codes and fell from No. One to off the leaderboard. He never got back on as he was not motivated enough to punch to catch up again. Everyone takes breaks. If you want to be on top you have to take less and shorter breaks than everyone else. It is up to you, you put in effort you get rewards. It looks insurmountable because it is such a large number but anything can be done. I just have no inclination and find your whining annoying. Your lucky some bigger player has not decided to give you the motivation to punch codes. I have seen that way too often. Then again you would just quit or reset.
-
@Hyena:
Why is it that everytime, someone talks about a drastic change, those that oppose it consider it whining. To be clear, I am not for the 2nd turf wars idea. Also I dont mind the way things are working now (although in my opinion they are not optimal). As I have said before and will say it again, your suggestion that everyone can get on top is highly based on the assumption of the behavior of other people in terms of code punching. That is the flaw. You cannot always predict how another person will behave. How can I make sure that the breaks I take are "less and shorter" than everyone else? You can't!
You all need to stop with the "I'd give you a reason to punch..." The way you are implying to give me motivation/reason, It's just a way to oppress ones opinion which is just plain disgusting. If you all can't take and respect other people's opinion, maybe you all shouldn't read/take part in threads like these.
