😂😂😂I believe when you die you become a dung beetle. Someone wrote about it in a book long before I was alive and they were historically accurate with the weather and what not. So it must be true.

Everyone has sinned, yes? Isn't being lazy a sin? If we have all sinned, than we should go to he'll. God has picked a way for all of us to go to heaven, unless of course you committed murder, theft, etc.
Not true I've stolen things before like petty things like pencils and rubber bands, but really what the difference in robbing a bank and stealing a rubber band there both theft. And murder what if it was in self defense of defending a mans family from a serial killer, you see I doesn't matter what sins you've commited if you've broken 1 rule or law you've broken all, now a serial killer can go to the altar and ask God for forgiveness and truly be sincere and be saved. Anyone can be saved no matter why sin they have commited. -

I have one question for all of you and it's a simple one. How do you know the book you get all this information from is true. It could all be false. What then, what's your proof of it being true besides them telling you which is simply his word against another. By the way you all know that religion was a great way to amass power and wealth over people back then. It kept people happy. That is why religion was created and has simply endured to this day.
Because people have found proof it's true, they have found thing like the cities sodom and gommarah and how it had been burned to the ground which came with one of the largest burial sites of the anchient world, also they have found the dead sea scrolls, so there Is proof to back up that the bible is true.

If u want to know about it, prove me wrong by reading Revelations in the Bible. After that, read John. That answers all questions u get from Revelations. Prove me wrong.
If u were just die, what's the purpose of living other than to die. No, I believe we are given a mission, to praise god and to be with him, but our sins stopped that, and we were separated. The only way to get to God is if we repent of our sins and follow Him, living forever with Him in Heaven. If not, u die eternally in hell. Imagine third degree burns all over your body forever and ever and ever and ever. Only worse -

Oops I messed up the quotes again. my bad firstly i don't need to prove anything, I am not the one preaching ;) 2ndly I am happy in my own beliefs and what I have seen and learned with my own eyes and ears, using my Mind and logic to make up my mind on things like this. my logic tells me if you die once it is impossible to continually die again and again. How does that happen? Are you resurrected again and again? Wouldn't that make you budist? Lastly I am very open minded on things like this, but until it happens to me I'm pretty happy with where I am.

In saying what I just said, I do believe something is there, whether it's god or Jesus or heaven and hell I believe something is there. I am not going to pretend I know what it is though. Like I said first time ill wait till I die and deal with it then, if I'm wrong then so be it. :)

No offense, but you can't really believe something without facts. Jesus died because that army wanted him dead and put him on a cross because he was preaching Christianism. He died just like many other Christians. And the Bible was just written by people who wanted power and influence back then. Also, to whoever posted about why people would believe in evolution, is because there is a scientific reason for it. Once I see proof in God, I'll believe. But for now I'll skip going to church on my Sundays and praying before each meal. I've sinned and I will not beg a fake man for forgiveness. ✌

Um, no. You can go around saying you believe (totally cool whatever you think), but to come on in and tell us that it IS the truth and your right is out of line and just asking for another fight. Whether or not you feel that way it is still a way of shoving your beliefe in my face as well as others. The truth is that there is an afterlife and there is no immortality, just eternity. There's a Heaven and a Hell. Which do you think you're going to, and why?
I would like to hope that the energy stored in your brain and ,e,prices would act as an energy and you will become detached from you human body and become immortal or something, but there is probably nothingness was to deal with, I think.

I see ur a factual person. Do u know physics? If so, u should know that for motion, the pushed item needs to have a pusher. If u go back to way back when, I assume u belive in evolution, there was some chemicals that formed together into a living cell, right? Where did the chemicals come from? Where did that come from? Ect ect ect. There had to be a starter to make a start. So God made everything the way it is, and the odds of it not is like taking ALL the pieces of a watch and throwin them into a box, and shake it, and a watch is made, working. No offense, but you can't really believe something without some facts. ✌

And about the people who wrote the Bible, they didn't write it. God wrote it through them, using their prospective on what happened. Oh and btw, there isn't any scientific truth to evolution. A famous evolutionist said, "I believe in Evolution because it is a way to not be a Christian." or something to that sort. There is more proof to Christianity than evolution, and the only reason why people believe evolution is that one: they don't know about Jesus, two: they know about Jesus and they go away from Him because "it's not cool" and "goody two shoes" and that they don't want to because they know that they will loose the bad stuff that they like. How much of the bad stuff will hurt u? All of it. So Jesus made a way to get through all this bad stuff

If the word of god was so damn important then why didn't Jesus write the book himself?
-
How did god speak through these people to write a book. For those who believe that we became atheists or evolutionists simply because of not believing in god or something I ridiculous. I personally was never raise and brought I church. I came up with my own conclusions to the world an became an atheist. Others were once Christians but later changed their views. My main thing is how do you all go around believing a book supposedly written by an all powerful being through people. Personally I think those people were simply trying to amass power for themselves. I would if I was in their shoes. Religion became popular because of its message and hope for afterlife. A tool for intelligent people to utilize.
-
'He' spoke through them like David Koresh....
It's also a bit of a leap from saying we don't know where the matter and energy of the universe came from, to saying the bible must be true.
It's also wrong to assume science is 'against' religion. If Galileo had peered through his telescope and seen heaven, the pope of the day wouldn't have executed him. If a scientist could find evidence of god, what a find that would be. It would not be denied, if it were there. -
Ok, fine, I admit my mistake. I believe that there is a Heaven and a Hell. I apologize for my wording that has suggested that I am forcing you to believe that my faith is the truth. On the other side of the coin, you cannot accuse me of shoving my beliefs down your throat when you are doing the same. Unless we all agree to view all our beliefs as a matter of faith, then this means nothing. Science is science, and faith is faith. We must be able to distinguish between the two so we can stop claiming that our beliefs are science and thus infalible.
-
Damien, I mean absolutely no offense, but you weren't them. So how could you be so sure of what you believe. Like I said, this all revolves around faith. What that faith is in is what we're debating.
-
I'm just gonna pop into this argument and say I believe in reincarnation.
Now I'm gonna leave. -
I believe in heaven and hell, and I also believe in Limbo, that space here in the middle where the ghost of people who died horrific deaths are stuck untill their current business is finished.

As a scientific Christian, If you get the whole story, the stone not only killed him, but sunk into his forehead.. As Goliath was a fighter its easy to assume he had his head cracked once or twice, hell, maby even by another kid with a rock, and the stone found that chink in the bone, and broke through. .... Or you can be the biblical Christian belief and say god did it.ChainedHunter wrote:

Science deals in provable evidence. Religion deals in faith. evolution wasn't a creation to annoy religion, it was an observation of circumstances, nothing more.
