One year ago today i woke up smoke free and have remained so for a year :D I hAve never lasted more than a few weeks before so this was just amazing :) here's to a slightly healthier life!
-
Congrats! Good job buddy you might have just saved a few years of your life :) just keep it up
-
Congrats!!! I'm working up the ambition to quit myself any pointers?
-
Oh. Here's to you! 🚬 I'm smoking right now. I'd quit... But I look way less legit when I'm a nonsmoker. Which is never. Never not legit that is.
-
Thanks warhero :) queen my best pointer is to just do it, I spent ages thinking about it and thinking "I'll quit monday" only that Monday never came because I lost my nerve and made excuses, best way is to just randomly bin everything and take that rubbish bag down to a public bin and bin it, and pick up some nicotine replacement goods from pharmacy, it's the best way
-
Good job! That's takes a lot for some people. Keep it up, it has so many health benefits.

Sorry if I'm coming off as douchey. I'm happy you did something you wanted to do! I'm not trying to give the impression my choice is better. I just reread what I wrote and felt I should make my words more clear at risk of sounding more unintelligible.

Damn I'm good! I haven't been to London in years. But I remembered I bought several packs of lucky strikes and I was under 18 while there. My brain's tendency to remember pointless topics, and life experiences, in order to weave into conversations is astonishing.

Go pyro! Best thing I did was give up! Been 9 yrs now!
Now as a non smoker I bet u get annoyed when people spark up and smoke in shop entrances so u have to pass through the smoke! That is my pet hate! I'd love it to be legal to punch em in the face! Should be designated smoking areas even in public places! Not just out side! -
Green until a couple of years ago the smoking age was 16 I think (I can't remember plus I started smoking when I was 14 anywYs haha) but its been raised to 18 now :) well done left! I'm 8 years behind you but I plan to get there! Actualy I still love the smell of smoke whenever my mates go out for a cig I join em and just stand there in happiness but dont feel inclined to have one, I just enjoy the smell :)

I started smoking my junior year of highschool because this really cute fringy girl offered me a cig in her parked car in the school parking lot haha. Im 25 now, and i still love girls who smoke lol. They are just more mysterious, and badass than girls who don't. Can Brits still smoke in bars?Green until a couple of years ago the smoking age was 16 I think (I can't remember plus I started smoking when I was 14 anywYs haha) but its been raised to 18 now :) well done left! My doctors didn't wanna give me the pills as they had no been tested on people with my conditions, so I tried every nicotine replacement therapy they all sucked until I tried the lozenges, I highly recommend them, especially the mint ones, they deal with cravings easily and leave your breathe minty :)Thepyroarcher🍀 wrote:

Good job man! Have a celebratory cigar!
-
Yay! Good for you, lady! In three weeks or so, I'll hit my 6 year mark of being a nonsmoker...and some other things.
-
Congrats! I am three weeks into having gone cold turkey off coffee & that's been effing hard as hell for me - I can't imagine having to give up smoking. That must be much harder... 👍
-
Well done Bella! :D thanks everyone and doc it is hard at one point I was craving so bad I just started laughing because if I didn't laugh I was gonna cry lol!
-
Congrats!!! I applaud you. I paid 800 dollars to my parents so they would have money for patches or whatever they needed to quit and 2 weeks later they were smoking again. Great job!
-
72 hours after you stop your lung capacity increases to nor mal the average cig takes 11 minutes of your life
-
I would quit but the only thing I've ever quit was a shi*tyy job lol. Congrats thats something to be proud of.
-
Well Done. I never have done and never intend too, best way forward in my opinion👍
-
Wow, congrats! I'm on my first week of quiting. I've got a ways to go. 👍
-
Thanks everyone :D addi (sorry not got the right keys to spell correctly) keep it up, I won't lie it's gonna get difficult, but it's so worth it in the end :D Feels great walking around with smoker friends and watching them huff and puff unable to keep up and to think that used to be me! But no more! :D
-
Congrats pyro! Ive been smoking for over 8 years now. I quit a couple years back for a 5 months. Then started dating a girl who smoked a lot and I would smoke one with her once in a while then i started again and haven't quit since. But I do the same thing as you, I'll say once I'm done with this pack I'll quit but it seems like the pack never ends.
-
It's hard to let that pack end! I've had a million last packs and last cigs lol
-

I know, I'll smoke my last cig around 2:30-3 in the morning and I'll have to go to the store and buy a new pack for the morning. It's hard to let that pack end! I've had a million last packs and last cigs lol

Maybe speak to store owners and have them ban you from buying cigs lol, try lozenges net time they are great, if your in uk the nhs send you out a quit starter pack that has lots of interesting stuff with it including a fun toy to keep your hands busy :)
