No. I'm in the navy's NUPOC training. So I don't do anything till after I get my masters even though I'm sworn in and active duty. Then I go through OCSMirko wrote:

Nuclear means u will only serve on carriers or subs..... Sure u knew that already tho.... When u get to the fleet don't come out guns blazing and expecting to change things overnite..... U are going to have VERY competent chiefs and first classes running everything already... Don't be afraid to take direction from them for the first few months...

You will get into it what you put into it, keep that in mind every day.
Somebody sais it earlier, listen to your chiefs and PO's. they have BTDT and you will have only book smarts. Learn from them while you guide them
Always remember, the enlisted must respect the rank and uniform, not the man. It is going to be your job to earn that respect for yourself. You can do that by being a fair, strong and confident leader.
Finally, remember, every day, what you do every single day of your service will be measured towards your fitrep. That will follow you forever.
You will be a leader of men. Lead them. Always lead from the front. You can impress me if you can tell me what Naval Officer LIVED by that code.
Good luck and keep your head up!

"good luck and keep your head up!"
Good advice, but obviously surface advice.
The best advice is to keep your head down, lest you want a forehead covered with contusions. Low overhead.
