🇷🇺Communism vs. Democracy🇺🇸
Forums › General Discussion › 🇷🇺Communism vs. Democracy🇺🇸-
Republics work as well as the protections in the system that keep common people separate from and appeased with whatever the elected leaders are doing. Talk occupy wall street minus the bongos, drugs and crimes. Rarely in our history have people mobilized and tried to be heard in a concerted effort like that, but the federal government did nothing. The constitution is meaningless is not what is holding us together. It's the combined inability of the common person to enact meaningful change in the elected leaders, who are busy with inactivity. Congress has had some of its lowest support since its beginning, and Obama isn't doing a whole lot better, and to top it all off, the republicans (which is one of the biggest jokes in my mind to support tax cuts on the rich, more military spending and the loss of personal freedoms and call yourself a republican) can't make up their mind what they want in a candidate
-
My idea is that no matter whoever is in charge eventually it will turn bad. Communism was a good idea to start with, but considering how greedy humans are it would turn bad. Also not everyone would cooperate and therefore, I believe shouldn't have as many benefits. It was a good theory just not a good type of government.

Republics may do abetter job protecting freedoms, but they have many problems. The lack of a long-term leader is very obstructive, requiring a string of presidents with very similar philosophy. Another problem is that the people in a republic come to be spoiled, crying tyranny at the first instance of something restrictive, no matter how good it will be for the country as a whole.
-
Then there is congress. It was a good idea at first, but now it is very corrupt. A congress, requires a majority vote for everything, so ot takes forever for anything decisive to get done. Then there is all the money involved. A lobbyist can get whatever they want, so long as they have money and no sense of rpide or patriotism.

I'm not compleatly aginst either, in my mind both of them have good and bad parts.

Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

Has anyone ever read the constitution? Before you go read the communist manifesto by Karl marx. I suggest you read the constitution by our founding fathers.
-
I have read the constitution, and understand the principles laid down therein, but that system is corrupt. In another of our Great Nation's documnets, The Declaration of Independnace, it encourages we, the citizens, to revolt, should corruption or tyrrany invade our government.
-
It's not corrupt. It has been made corrupt by other institutions attached to it, and over rideing laws the people over look. The federal reserve, and large corporations working threw the fed have corrupted the office. It is not the constitution. The constitution is in the way. This is why the corrupt you speak of are trying to dismantle it piece by piece.
-
The federal reserve should have never been created. The people or other government institutions are not allowed to look at the discussions, and deals that go on in the fed.
-
It doesn't matter who corrupted it, it's still corrupt in the end.

Come on, you can do it. Give some socialist examples of destruction in this country.Lke I said, through our MANY socialist prisidents. Only the foolish respond before they read.
-
Very well said. If you (chester-drawers) cannot provide us with an instance of Socialism having a majorly negative internal impact on the country, your argument must be regarded as opinion. Of the Presidents you listed, one is regarded as one of our country's greatest leaders, one was president in a time when he could have been taken out by the CIA for even a hint of Socialism, and the one Socialist move of the third has had no chance in the world yet.

You must be joking, right? I can't believe the idiocracy in this country. The USA had it in its purest form many years ago, but now through our many communist prisidents (rosevelt, carter, Obama) our republic has turned into a fusion of republic/communism.

Indeed, many people get into a fairly intelligent political debate just to introduce their unresearched, uneducated opinions which are influenced by conspiracy theories that they read about on the internet, as opposed to theor own (hopefully) sound logic.

What the world would be like if everybody was free the way it is intended if you want a cheeseburger you gotta earn it like everybody else the jelousy just drives us to work hard we would find more Einsteins in the world imagine were we would be today if the world shared our blessed constitution
-
What you are saying is the basis of Communism, that if you want your share of the spoils, you have to do your share of the work. To " finding more Einsteins ", however, you are mistaken. Everyone becoming a US style Republic is totally irrelevant to finding great scientists. If somebody is smart and has a great theory, they could publish it just as well under a properly-run commumism.
-
That brings us to intelle tual property under Communism. Things like paintings, music, and books cannot be mass-produced, because not everyone has the same kind of mind. So, if you want a certain kind of book, song, or art, you either have to make it yourself, or find a group of like-mimded people who are willing to make and appreciate your chosen song/book/artform for themselves and anyone who also enjoys that particular thing.
-
Well communism is not bad, it is actually an accaptable form of goverment. The belshovics and cubans are bad examples which happens when a leader takes advantege of his power. China has communisim and its not so bad. Democracy is good because it gives people rights and the goverment is limited. In one way that is good but goverment can still find ways around this and make laws that would violate the constitution or are just not needed. But overall both have adventeges over others and both are bad in some ways
-
And most people think they are truly free in america and the truth is goverment has been taking advantege of us scince like ww2

In what ways has the government been taking advantage of us? The things foing on right now are the result of bribery and corruption in a system that in the past worked so flawlessly. But like I said above, without a leader woth a longer term, i t is next to impossible to have long term goals. But those are system flaws, not the government taking advantage of us.
-
That's another thing about Communism- no one would complain about you freedom of expression because all the people you express with/for would express the, selves in the same way.

The us goverment spends about 600 billion dollars on our defence systems, thats alot of money and we really dont need to use that much. Then a top secret spy plane gets shot over iraq, wtf was it doing there then we go ahead and demand it back, really? Usa did not give a fuck about those people in afganistan of else we would have gone to war with them sooner, not waiting for 9-11 and how the fuck can some terrorist bypass the strongest nation's securuty system, how? And lastly how is it that we are the strongest nation and we are low on money and dissent is high.In what ways has the government been taking advantage of us? All of that may be true, but can you think of somewhere else the money in defense should go? Give it to China to reduce our debt? Heck no! And the spy plane was over Iraq because we have troops there, and how are they supposed to fight a war without intelligence? Terrorists got past our security system because we were the most powerful, so we got cocky, and it took 9/11 to show us that we are not invincible, and that we need the extra defense money in an increasingly anti-US world. Finally, are you sure we are still the world's strongest nation? The economic problems you listed don't seem to paint that image. Then take into account that China, Russia, and India are growing by leaps and bounds...

Now, let's get back on topic to prevent this from becoming a slur fest qbout the tangled web that is modern US politics and 9/11 conspiracy theories.
