Best diet for weight loss?
Forums › General Discussion › Best diet for weight loss?-
My dad is classed as 'obese' and he needs a quick easy way to lose weight but doesn't know which one to go on, if you know any good weight loss diets or have tried a diet that works well for weight loss (with excercise) please send me the link below and my dad and I will check it out.
Thankyou, Lawrence ⚡ -
Eat less exercise more
It's really not that complicated. Most modern "diets" are invented to sell books
-
One important exercise he needs to learn and that's how to....PUSH himself away from the table 👊👍

A couple of hours once a week can make a huge difference.

What dr p said is true for the most part.
PM me ill help you out!. -
If u start yo diet, do it slowly or ur body will think that it's being starved to death (it's use to eating more) many cut the candy, soda, chips, fatty food out an just go be active(walk, jog, weight lift etc) 😺😺😺😺👍💪

My fitness pal. It's an app. Brilliant! Basically a Cal counter but really helps you keep track and eat the right food. Lost nearly a stone in 4 weeks.

Check out Patrick holford! His website is full of info and testimonies! His low GL diet is amazing and easy to sustain! Read up on it! It really is easy! I've lost 2st since late july!
Avoid starving the body at all costs! The metabolism slows down when u stop eating and leave u feeling lethargic resulting in giving up! Pm me for much more! -

Dukan diet. Read up about it. My friend has lost alot of weight over the past few months and she barely does any exercise at all.

If your dad is classed obese why hasn't he been referred to a dietitian? That would be the best option for him.
-
Many diets can work. Most use different ways to "trick" the person into eating less. Usually by eliminating certain food groups. But that's not necessary.
Eat less calories than you burn on a daily basis and you'll lose weight. "Eat less, exercise more".
If he keeps eating the wrong things like you say, then no diet will help him. He has to WANT to change and avoid eating the wrong things (or too many calories in general).

Identify what his bmr is and then eat at a slight caloric deficit. 40% proteins 30% carbs 30% fats should make up the diet. Don't do any crazy crash diets. Add in cardiovascular exercise to increase weight lose. But please do see a nutritionist or dietician.

Smoking, coke snorting and vomiting works for some...
But probably best avoided... Like they say above -
Weight Watchers diet helped alot for my parents they lost like 30 pounds in 2 months
-
Less eating more exercising.... It's maths...
-
Order insanity (or download it for free online haha) make him do those. He'll end up being in better shape than you I bet haha

Stay away from pasta as a beginner dieter. It's a great carb but unless it is in small specific portions and whole wheat it will be counter productive. If you want some easy, simple, advice.based on body physiology and research pm me. I can give you the same info I give my student. But not the curriculum of course... That's protected and copyrighted by my university.FussyJosh wrote:

Marmite on toast diet and water, so you have it for breakfast and dinner, I lost 2 stone on that diet (although it wasn't optional my body rejected everything else)

download the app "loseit" and use that. I have lost a ton of weight using this app and it is free!

That's how I got my title of Queen!! Just kidding 😊 cut all fast food out of the diet... Fresh veggies and fruits are your friend. Instead of having large meals, have five small snack/meals a day. It helps with metabolism. Get a treadmill. My dad lost a lot of weight by just walking once a day.Smoking, coke snorting and vomiting works for some...

I use this app to track my protein, carb and fat grams. It's great.

Many American plates are huge so just get your dad to eat normal meals out of a smaller plate and have no snacks
-
Out of all of the advice in this thread, eat less exercise more is the best.
Take it from someone who went from 210 to 165.

Use the online version of weight watchers points. Under 20 bucks a month and you can eat what you want.
