Here you are protesting against capitalism, on your iphone/ipad/itouch. That is basically promoting capitalism. A materialistic item. I didn't know the overrun, stomped on, and angry people-
Screw it, I don't feel like going on.

To have an extra couple of hundred bucks to spend a month doesnt exactly place you anywhere out of the realm of the "99%."

Naw just wondering who's gna get tasered. I'm neither for or against. 99 percentiles should be looking for a job, not sitting in the park.

The movement is NOT about protesting against corporations. It is about: 1) Getting the money out of politics. 2) Reforming the banking system to prevent fraud and manipulation, mainly restoring the Glass-Steagall Act that separates investment banks from commercial banks. 3) drafting laws against a loophole that currently allows members of Congress to pass legislation affecting Delaware-based corporations in which they themselves are investors. Kudos to these protestors who are protesting, in winter, for the benefit of others.

I don't know how many times you have to be told no one is protesting capitalism. Fascism maybe but not capitalism. Don't be extreme. You sound rediculous. It's the extremes of capitalism that cause problems. Not the middle ground.ZONGTOKE wrote:

You can't say no one is protesting capitalism. I have proof. Lots of it.Maybe just say that most of them support capitalism.
Remember, statistically, half of them are below average intellect. And if you go by age... Way below average life experience.

The cops are in the 99% too.

Hell... 50% of Americans own a part of corporations.
Those must be the lesser half.

If it really is a "99%" or whatever, then why aren't 99% of all people protesting? I'm all for peaceful protesting, whether or not I support the cause, but keep it away from my house, parks, roads, and anywhere else that it may cause disruption. Blocking roads doesn't equal peaceful protest. Destroying places doesn't equal peaceful protest. Being loud near residential areas doesn't equal peaceful protest. The way that this group is behaving makes it hard for me to see anything legit about them. If you are gonna preach about things that seem wrong to you, then maybe you shouldn't do things that seem wrong to everyone with a brain.
They are doing it wrong. Either do it 100% right or 100% violently, but don't puss out somewhere in the middle, and don't be a bitch when you get fucked up for acting like a fool. Either go harder in return or not at all.
That is all.

Another hippy thread, fucking great.

I suppose what I'm trying to say is, don't claim to be what you aren't, and don't try to get people to think that you are what you aren't. You can win sympathy if you are acting like a fool, and you can't win by force if you keep giving in. These guys are ate up and going nowhere. It will be interesting to watch it all fall to pieces.

It was a movement that started out with great Intentions. But was soon over run with "professional protesters" who will protest anything. Even if the dont agree with it. The original OWS has turned into a homeless shelter. With drugs and crimes everywhere. Good idea poorly organized.ZONGTOKE wrote:

Why do they need to camp? Why can't they stay in hotels or their houses like sensible people? It's not like their protest site is going anywhere, and if they do it legally and with permits then nobody can stop them.

You're right. The government is evil, we live in a dictatorship, and the people never do wrong. In fact, if there were no political system, we would all be smarter, in better shape, more technologically advanced, there would be jobs for everyone, and no crime at all. Poverty would be a thing of the past and there would be worldwide peace.Ꭲweek wrote:

Was that completely off topic rant enough, or shall I continue? I can off topic rant all day long about thing that dont make any sense too, and I don't have to camp anywhere to do it.
