My friends 19 year old brother was stabbed to death in a NY subway last weekend over a piece of trash. I can't imagine the pain that his family is enduring right now. If you pray, please join me in lifting up his family to God for comfort an strength. Thank you!!

I'll pray for his family

Thanks Hank.

Nate didn't tell me that he was writing this on here. That friend of his is my brother in law, who along with his wife (my sister) are up there to bury him. That 19 year old was a good man. He was always really polite when I was around him. It's hard to understand why these things happen but they do. When I found out I just wanted to go find my wife and hold her close. Like Nate said pray for my brother in law's family if you do pray. And don't take those in your life for granted.

I'm sorry to hear that Nate. U know I'll pray for them.
-
I'm so sorry dizz. I'll deff keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. I'm always here for u and Nate so don't forget that!

What a horrible thing your brother in law's family must feel. I feel so bad for them. Can't believe these things happen. What kind of world do we live 😿

I don't think so. He's still at large I believe. There was another young man fatally stabbed in the same incident. Let's not forget his family either.

Words can't help ease the loss but know that you have my deepest sympathies.

It hurts to know someone so young lost their life but may his soul be at peace and in a much better place than this horrible society we live in. Everyone has their day and that punk will have his. My prayers are with your family and especially with his parents.

Where has morality gone? Why is lawlessness and aggression abounding in our nation?? My heart longs for justice and my soul cries for salvation! Who will help in this great time of need!! My God will deliver us from our enemies and provide a strong tower for refuge!!!

As Dru said, there are no words that could possibly ease the pain of such a horrible and senseless tragedy. I offer you my most heartfelt sympathy & hopefully you can feel some degree of comfort in knowing you are in many people's thoughts and prayers.

Nate, law has gone the was of politically correctness. If the powers that be would let law enforcement do their jobs without looking at the next lawsuit or the court systems stop slapping criminals on the wrist instead of giving them the harsh sentences that they justly deserve, everything will remain the same. Unfortunately, if you truly want justice you have to go back to the bibles " eye for an eye" and resort to vigilante justice. Of course this is not the way to settle this in society but as a culture I think we are more about protecting the criminals instead of the true victims. Again Nate I'm sorry for your families loss and I've already put a call into my priest for our churchs prayers as well. God bless

Thoughts and prayers go out. I've lost friends to senseless violence myself.
-
Thanks to all of u. I will share this with my sis and bro in law.
-
Sad story, my condolences.
I will leave out the God and prayers stuff however, your God was not much use in preventing this tragic incident so what use is he after the fact.

This is the WRONG thread to debate religion! Every person seeks solace in someone or something. If you feel the need to debate religion please do it on another thread. I'm trying not to be ugly but that's not called for at this time. This is to try and give comfort and support as small as it may be considering the nonpersonal arena we are in. Thanks

We live in a world where bad things do happen to good people for no apparent reason. This does not mean that God has abandoned us or does not care. We Christians believe that "in ALL things God works for the good of those who love Him." Romans 8:28Sad story, my condolences.

ALL things, not just good things. Thanks for your condolences just the same.

Condolences to you and your family. I would appreciate if this didn't turn into a debate thread

Perhaps not best to get into the ins and outs of blind faith at this stage, I do agree. I'll abstain from further irreligious comment from my side, might be good from the other side if we abstained from biblical quotations and kept it to the simpler stuff too.
Cheers.
