Scapa and lagavoulin I think is how it's spelled
Isle and highland singles 16 year -
Glenlivet for the shiz niggity. I'm at Sacramento airport right now, I'm like you got livet 12? They're like we got fiddich, I'm like f u three Jameson doubles neat and good day to you sir.
-
Don't know about scapa and lagavoulin but the Islay scotches have a really nice smokey taste to them. Bowmore and Laphroaig are both very good.
-
Ron Burgandy loves him some scotch

Scotch, scotch, scotch.. mm mm mm. Here it goes down. Down into my belly.

Ew. I just had Johnny Walker for the first time on Sunday. What's up with the rubbing alcohol/medicine aftertaste? Are all scotches like that?
-
Never tried it. Im a cognac/tequila guy. But I'm open for a change. Think I'll try some of those brands.

The only scotch I've ever had. I was told though, drirking scotch it's an acquired taste... -
Ya I think there's 3 main types
Isle peaty/warm
Highland
? -
glen morangie, used to be the port wood finish but now has a slightly different name. I'd look at the bottle, but alas I'm out.
yummmmmm...
a tad sweeter, softer finish and mouthfeel, and less peaty than your lagavulins, glen livets and the like.
if u r a fan of single malts and r trying to teach your girl to appreciate this world, glen morangie a wonderful alternative for something a bit softer but absolutely delish and complex.

Noob question: what's the difference between scotch and bourbon? And which one is crown royal?

Scotch whisky is usually a blend of malt and grain whiskies, the latter made from unmalted barley or, more, often corn. Irish Whiskey is distilled three times, and contains barley, malted barley and grain spirit.Noob question: what's the difference between scotch and bourbon? And which one is crown royal?
American whiskies like Bourbon have an intense colour and a strong flavour which come from their predominantly corn ingredient. Ordinary Canadian whiskies have a light taste and appearance, produced by the blend of rye, corn and barley.
And I'm a "Highland Park" kinda guy..

It's the word 'scotch' that I hate to be honest and I detest it in all it's descriptive forms be it for whiskey, eggs or my countrymen!
It never has, and never will sound right.

Really? That's very surprising, I honestly find red to be smoother. I guess it would depend on how you drink it. Black is ok with coke but red is better with water. To be honest I prefer black, tried gold once but was already drunk which don't help cos I can't recall the taste! Lol. I started on bourbon and ended up on scotch, 2 completely different tastes! Actually, jutst give me alcohol! No tequila or vodka though!! No no!ℬeƖƖɑIƗɑƖiɑɳɑ wrote:
