In real world politics, there is more than a simple 2 dimentional left-right political spectrum. Fiscal and social conseravative democrats exist, as do fiscal and social liberal republicans. That's not even touching on foreign policy or the debate.

Extremist is just a label one places on people whose opinions one strongly disagrees with. I'm not sure if I'd call Palin an extremist, but she is dangerously stupid and should not be allowed govern a state, let alone be in the White House.

Yeah they should but the point is that many people actually follow her and stuff and by extremism I meant like extreme right or left, pretty much the media. There's no denyin that the extremes r taking control

Well let's see both the dems and repubs (both of them for the most part) only play by their extremes and r unbending in their beliefs and won't negotiate. They've also pretty much taken control of both parties

It's supposed to ridicule the huge numbers of people that participate in electing our leaders, yet don't know anything about politics. It's inherent in the system, I suppose. American kids are so apathetic about knowledge, yet still think they know everything. Next thing you know, we've got a socialist / narcisist in the white house and an aging hippy running the house. And yes, I'm fully aware of the accurate definition of 'socialist'.
