Trying to fix your problems on your own doesn't do a thing, I can tell you that from experience. You need counseling, and stay on some meds for at least a year. I went off after nine months and it kinda screwed me up for a while. But then again, medication is not for everyone, but you at least need to talk to someone close to you and seek help.

maybe you should use that intelligence and realize you're a master rationalizer.

Patsy's done it again. Could not put it better. Work out RL first. TW is not important, the friends you have will always be there. (And unfortunately, the haters too.)Belial, my heart goes out to you.
Accolades to you for your awareness of the problem and sharing with us.
KK is actually giving you good feedback. Unless a MD has determined you have drug-resistant BP disorder, you should resume medications.
Thinking you can tackle something this big on your own is actually a classic symptom of mania.
Don't let this disorder control you.
Good luck to you my friend.

WOW WOW WOW WOW
when did I ever turn my back at you bro? lol I'm just as down but I hide it pretty well 😜 -
I have tried to help people for years who have attitudes similar to yourself. What is the bottom line? When is it enough? It is enough now. Go get help. It is your responsibility to do so though. You are an adult. Nobody can make the decision to go to a doctor for you. You have to do it. If you don't you don't. It is not our responsibility to look after you. Don't make your responsibility our responsibility. That is an error. You are responsible for yourself and your welfare. Take responsibility for yourself and make the decision to take control of your life.

Well belial you sure made everyone step back and think. I personally have no background knowledge in Bp, but I'm glad your considering seeing a doctor. And if you can get a good one, he/she will hopefully not automatically say "meds". Consider the options and see what else is out there since you were last on meds. On a side note, for all the arguments of somesort (I dont think there's been that many) don't think that has anything to do with what I think of you personally. Everyone has had arguments or drifted off from past friends in this game. While I agree you like your attention, you still have continued to bring this game into a different year of players, adapting to the changes and working as hard as anyone else. Good luck with whatever happens, and don't forget the 09ers.

I was told if I took mess, it COULD bring me out of it.
Course, it could make it chronic.
Drugs aren't the cure all people. Prozac isn't god. -

Just one thing to note - this is an iPhone app with a theme that generally attracts people who like to act tough, be cruel and beat you in any way possible. I suggest you talk to your docter and real life friends about the issue, not an iPhone app linked to thousands of virtual machines...that's just stupid...

If intelligence is your suit, IMO that means investigating all of your options. That cliched saying "insanity means doing the same thing over and over expecting different results" seems to apply here. Spend some time on some bp support group message boards, see what other people are doing, see what docs suggest, etc., if you are serious about changing. Otherwise you like someone who on the show hoarders that claims to want to change but is unwilling to throw anything away. Will be praying for you regardless so keep us posted as much as you can
-
I agree with last statement...go to message boards dedicated to the subject, rather than asking the opinion of thousands of school kids around the globe, football hooligans in the UK, perverts hiding behind their TW nicknames and others who really couldn't give a shit

Sounds like she needs therapy as well as medsHere's a really funny joke!
My wife is stressed as a kindergarten teacher, has a special needs kid, and a husband who prefers to sit on his ass playing turfwars.
My wife goes to our family doctor and says she's depressed and life is a struggle, so he prescribes Zoloft.
Months later, she goes back to the doctor and says: "It didn't work. My life still sucks."
So he doubles the dosage.
It would be an awesome joke, but unfortunately it's true.

Belial I'm not a doctor. But I have a strong grounding in psychology, and know about depression/anxiety disorders. Unfortunately bi-polar is not my strongest area, but what I do know is that facing this condition on your own is not wise. Not everyone needs medication.(stephen fry doesn't) But therapeutic advice is essential. Don't do this alone. Its easy to get lost in your own mind.

Excuses again. What you are stating is more of an opinion. My friend is BP, she takes meds so she is more stable. Guess where she goes to college, fucking standford. When she wasn't taking meds, she was a mess. She then started taking med, she was able to get her life on the right track. So don't say it cripples one's ability to think because that is completely false. Also, saying by avoiding medication helps you retain your intelligence, I find that funny cause you sound more like a coward than anything. You just want to hear what you want to hear. You avoid everything else. B, enough is enough. Either you face your problem head on, or leave it be and stop bringing it up. I might sound like an ass, but I say how it is.

The problem is she has the attitude of "please fix me". So she will continue to be unhappy forever. This makes her doctor happy.
It's quite a racket.

You know, "meds" did mess with my mind.
I woke up in the morning, and couldn't remember if I had a job, or if I had to be somewhere, or why my alarm was set.
They work for some. There is only one way to know.
If you need a new head gasket in your car, the answer shouldn't be to adjust the fuel mixture to compensate for the leak. Unfortunately, it's the only answer. It might get you home, so it's worth a try. It also might crack your head.
It's a serious decision to use blunt chemicals on something as delicate as a mind. There is risk. Is it greater than the risk of suicide or alienation? Roll the dice, baby!
-
If your half as good at life as you are at TWs, you will be fine...you know the right answer...in addition, the right diet will help the chemical balance in your body...there is a valid argument for both homeopathic and pharmaceutical therapies... A combination of both will help you and Turf Wars, this place wouldn't be the same without you...and support your local Chefs 🍹Cheers🍹
