Stupid, gps point of the game is gone.

I don't think the gps element is gone, I like how nick called it one big hop.... I think this is great and will add a whole new dimension to the game...

Yep.I haven't found the game to be stale. I don't see how it will be "controlled chaos." TW isn't supposed to be the type of game that has an end.
As I said in the other thread, it will no longer be novel to have turf in a different state or country. You won't have to physically go there, or work hard & "earn" your way there by hopping; once a week - poof - you are magically somewhere else. Be prepared to spend a bunch of extra real life money on turf & stamina refills too.

Once you build a turf, if you can near the airport, and you've selected the destination. Do you have to actually wait the travelling distance, or do you instantly appear and that airport ??

Just wondering. If you are by a used airport. Can you use the ticket and cap into the other airport, or do you have to place turf?

Layovers just became a nuciance again. Their silver lining was placing turf in a new city. Now I prefer to fly direct in real life again.
It's sad to see the true gps feature of the game gone. But a good way to keep it interesting for a while I suppose.

Did police maps ruin the gps aspect? Hopping in any form is anti-gps. Like the man said, giant hop. No layovers, no travel time, a turf stargate. Hit build turf, and now u have new big green circles to place turf. (2 mi. radius implies common point Mys)
Like police maps, this is another feature I will never use but totally enjoy. Thanks nick. -

Police maps are different because they allowed you to get across small dead spots when hopping. This is much more than a "mega hop" because it takes all the work out if being there and takes you someplace far from where you've actually been. With hopping there was usually limits to how far and how fast you could go, and once you were there you were vulnerable to being removed and forced to do it all again. Now people can pop in once a week if they get capped out of an area and there's no way to win a war against someone, and no work put into getting someplace (whether by real physical travel or by hopping). Basically it says to all the other players "hey, even though you didn't work for it or spend the money to travel, you can still go wherever you like without spending a dime, just like all the people who did the work or spent the money to travel."
