Thanks for the heads up. I didn't even catch it. New loot items are always good. I'm excited to see what they are and what features they add.
-
I don't really understand what Nick means about the 1 inf thing
-
The 1 inf change MIGHT be a good change. I reserve judgement until I see what the mob size restrictions are.
-
I domt think mob is the way to go. Distance should be the same for everyone.
-
Having read and re-read the short announcement I think that this hearalds a massive change in the game and one that is designed to help the smaller to medium players. On my reading of it the 10 percent rule is going so the likes of Brit and shaggly in the UK will not be able to hide under the 10 percent rule. Capping distance will be purely based on mob size. This could be intended to slow the mob race down to give smaller players a chance to catch up as a big mob now has a down side.
-
So if three 10k players wanted to take me out of an area and had the desire, team work and stamina to run vendettas I will be pretty powerless to stop them driving me out. A nice addition to this rule would be if it was modified in a vendetta to be the total size of the mobs involved or something along those lines.
-
I like how right now cap distance is based on total number of turfs. It means I get bigger pickins on the guy who bought the 1200 turf limit and bought his way to godfather in a couple months, but couldn't be bothered with getting his mob past 4500.
-
Ive punched every code twice over and bought 3,500 hench. Alas I am now a massive and easy target!
-
The rest sounds alright though. 👍👍 New loot is always a plus. :)
-
I am guessing capturing will be based on mob count and influence. I doubt nick will solely base it on mob totals. Regardless I am thrilled about the new rule change. I like to see that bullies won't be able to hide behind low influence when they get vendetta'd. Now vendettas will be more useful
-
Don't know enough about it yet tbh. You can cap 1 influence turfs tho so I don't understand how that is a "change". That changed after thuglife took on New York.
-
I just Dom think you should be punished for big mob. Mob is supposed to make you stronger not weaker. Guess time will tell
-
The way I see it is this. Currently the only way a large player can "exploit the ability to lower a turf to 1 inf" is through the 10 percent capture rule. By reducing 500 turf to 1 inf and having a 500 total inf protects you from the vast majority of decent active players. So I think that rule must be going. Would like this to be clarified as this is massive and in effect ends the malarial era that in my opinion has been damaging the game in the uk recently.
-
Im not sure if i totally understand it but is it just a case of exchanging the 10% rule from inf to mob? So droping inf will do nothing when the new changes come in? To cap smaller players, or 'hide' from bigger players, you'll need to drop your mob size?
-
You can exploit it currently by lowering inf and shortening your range. You shouldn't be allowed to do that as a big player. Especially the top mob. We choose to mob up to insane amounts so we should receive an achilles heel with it not become invincible. I like the change and if you see my inf, it will hurt me a lot more compared to most of these guys who are big mobs AND have large inf's.
-
As for the upgrades, they'll work well for new players.
Heads and loot also a good change.
👍👍👍

IMO you're not punished. Your mob is larger than everyone else's. I've been a large mobster and am now a medium mobster. I really think this helps. This keeps the Large mobsters who run rampant on everyone and then hides behind this 10% rule which was made to help small players but is being abused by some large players. I'm not singling any one person out saying this. I've seen it happen over and over again. I like the changeI just Dom think you should be punished for big mob. Well recently I dropped from 80k inf to 30k inf to play on a level playing field with 2 12-14 k mobs who have had me in a constant vendetta for 2 months. This worked as they were no longer able to cap me from distance and has halted them. Now I'm back to square 1 on this front.
-
This doesn't change the 10% rule guys. Just cap range. Making the 1 inf exploit that so few know even still exists un accessible to bigger mobs

You cam still use 1 inf exploit if you have less than I think it's 24 turf.

Nick if your reading this can you enlighten us if the 10% rule is staying or going?

Hmmm didnt know that That's a pretty heavy hit to have to drop down to 24 turfs thoughYou cam still use 1 inf exploit if you have less than I think it's 24 turf.

The 10% Rule wasn't meantioned. I would say it's staying for now. This is just a range change. Nothing more.

Second the question to nick though please elaborate?
-
I got it from the mention of 1 inf exploit. That's what I thought Nick was referring to.
