Balance in this game is bad. It all comes down to two things. First is who got there turf there first followed closely by mob size.
I've made suggestions in the past about the lopsidedness of defense (mathmatically one needs 30% more RPGs and armies to beat thier target with mini guns and armor). Well that's all find and dandy until you get huge mob sizes. I can't even beat a target with just 2023 mob vs my 2750 RPGs AND I even have much more attack stats vs. Thier defense stats.
What this means is one someone is established, there's not a whole lot a far larger player can do to expand.

How bout more n more turfs? But yea i c wat u mean First person to attack no matter wat always has the advantage. But not in this game or any other mobster game
-
Then vendettas themselves are flawed, take my situation in the bay area. I cap some turfs and make baic mad at me. Well because of the 30%+ mob size, no single one of them can directly attack me and win. So what.can they do? Vendatta me, well there's a 24hr waiting period, in the mean time any one of them that joins takes the defensive hit and I just target thier turfs premptively. So really nothing gets accomplished.
-
So that's my rant, I'll still be playing to see just how far I can expand, probably making some people quit, but long story short: stats are worthless and and spamming your code at every chance you get helps.
There's no skill, planning or even strategy involved, due to the overwhelmingly defensive orientation this game has.

Its mostly dedication that wins here. Or no life lol

And Tom I completely agree that the stats are worthless and that once you go over turf max then you can just take what you can reach and gg..
-
You're one of the biggest. It's sad when of the innovators decides that they're done. Good luck Tom.

dont listen to this select group of critics. tom happens to enjoy the game or the 'experience' in his own way but others might not agree. i like leveling up and working towards helping people, fighting with dummies, exercising diplomacy, and checking the forums. i havent done it in a while but 'bridging' is always an available option too. you make it what it is, homey. and there is room for expansion whether it's vendetta or the fact there seems tk be a new player everyday
-
Well, what I was planning to do, is to make games like turf wars, imob, but make a real black market. for trades, you gotta take your guns with you, and, if you want, attack the seller/buyer, but the defender has the advantage, since he wanted to stick to the rules. when you first start, you've got nothing, so the only way to get money is to be the person sent to do the trade, so, you have chances to get killed. I also thought death would be definitive.

I know there is always gonna be some big bullies, but, In real life, going somewhere takes time, so, to kill someone, it takes time.also, if you need health, you can take drugs. But, if you start healing too often, you get addicted, cause your health to slowly deplete until you take drugs again.or, if you don't wanna risk getting addicted, you can wait, and make sure you're not attacked, so,you have to find a safe house somewhere in the world/google map. you can share it, but the others you share with can sell the info to your enemies or you can stay alone, but if your attacked, your alone. To find another's safe house, you gotta go past it, close. So, when going somewhere, you choose which road you take. I'll do an add-on called fund me! Where if you purchase it, your name tag appears blue instead of black. Any other ideas?

This is stupid cos no1 here can change anything and nick has made a amazing game doing all this to it mite make it better for a lil bit but it is to much
simple is always best -
They just need to make defence weaker
-
Tom how about making the .338 Lapua Riffle Att.16 Def.4 as a second weapon that can be carried. Also ad the C4,
Jimmy Car...
Basically what I'm saying is to have the tools in use with your mob members. -
Bump.
-
Also there are still no comments in hoe much attack/ defend ratings in the profile come into play and their value
-
One past suggestion was to make attack and defense stats count as a multiplier. For instance, 1 point in attack could count for 10 points or more. This would make stats a more worthwhile investment. Or give the weapons bonuses based on attack/defense stats. Those kinds of variables could improve the pvp. Adding more weapons or modifying current weapons and raising their upkeep could also improve the situation.
Another possibilty would be to have attacks "kill off" opposing mob numbers. Not permenant, you could heal them back but those are some ways to break the all powerful Code War.

Oh, and sorry to see you go, Tom
-
So you are leaving but cap my turfs in an area where no one is suppose to cap? Good job buddy.

Don't you essentially have to tear down your empire to bridge? Lots of good that does the communiy you left. Because you want to screw with as many little guys as possible before you leave, right? Stay classy.
-
Pretty much, the game is turf wars. Not let's all build turfs, not attack anyone and be nice to each other. That's boring and I'm looking for fun before I go.
-
Go out in a blaze of glory, Tom.
-
They can always rebuild.
-
It's fun when you choose your enemies discriminately. It's boring if it's just about attacking for the hell of it. Especially when you are 3000 miles away and picking off turf from a guy with 800 mob that you don't even know. Where's your "strategy" that you so crave when you just pick on little guys?
-
Where's Patsy we we need some class around here? Be a man. Not a power hungry suicidal maniac with no compassion.
-
You sure cry a lot for someone I have yet to attack, did I hit one of your mule accounts? You have a mob of 2200, why are you worried?
It's funny in my capping I find all this complaining, because this is the first time they've been cap, it was nice being a big fish in a small pond huh? Now that the shoe is on the other foot I get to see players true colors.
-
You hit my little neighbor here who I'm trying to be friendly with. He's a little guy. I'm not worried about you personally. It's just a shame you don't know what it means to take care of someone else.
The "real" Tom Hagen was a good man. Why did you name yourself after him?
Accuse me of muling... I get enough of that childish crap on the East coast without your help, thanks.
People have a real investment in this game, and it up to you and other big guys to keep the game going. Trying to make people quit on your way out.. Man that's cold.

i'm glad Tom wrote this. this isn't the first time Tom, myself, and others have complained about this being nothing but "code wars". all of the mobbing up for power is really silly since there is no skill involved. i "play" (aka watch things unfold) for the hell of it but you who think you're "making the best of what you've got" are really comitted to wasting your time entering codes. There's no skill, planning or even strategy involved, due to the overwhelmingly defensive orientation this game has.

Well Brown, my suggestion to you is help your friend.
Like you said it's a game, I doing whatever I can to get some entertainment out of it. If you don't like it, you are free to stop me with current in game mechanics.
