Winter...I get all cranky pants this time of year. Trick is to find humor in it all. Stupid people are fuckin hilarious!

masturbation, good music, and a constant reminder that the cold war is over and the possibility of nuclear destruction is greatly diminished. Also peanut butter and jelly helps.
-
Thanks but its not really a anger issue here. I Apreciate the advise though BK.

Life is short. It's best to have fun with it. Or go with the solgan If it's not fun why do it.

Your looking for that sense of relevance. I'm no counsellor Cheat, just a 34 yr old grad student, but what I have learned through my long career in the liberal arts is since the beginning of time people have wrestled with this same problem. This is why people find religion, as well as other philosophies to live by. They are seeking out answers to that exact same question. I wrote a paper that was published once called The Quest For Relevance, and that is exactly what it is. It has been said that it is only humankind who is aware of our own mortality and it is this that makes us human. I have no answers Cheat, but you should at least find solace in the fact that for 6000 years of recorded history we as a species have grappled with this fundamental problem of existence.

Yes we do all die at some point. But I plan on dying with a smile on my face. And I don't believe every aspect of life is pointless. I think that statement you should focus on more then worrying about death right now.Johnny O wrote:

this used to be me and occasionally is. Everything that has been said here is good to combat it (i try not to masturbate too much tho, lol). But as for your concern that we all end up the same, so whats the point. The trick for me was to find someone i really care about, preferably you would find someone that meant a lot to you and brought the joy back.
now i feel like a woman. I gotta go smash some noobs to re-claim my manliness. brb.

Thanks man, guess ill look at my religion for help. Religion don't pay the bills, look at yourself for help. The thought of your memory fading should drive you to be the most ruthless thug you can imagine. Sells drugs, baseball bat some FN heads, vanquish your enemies, party, fornicate n rebel, cause shit everyone will forget after a generation anyway. Your dead but you have eternity to recall all the kinky shit you suckered a bunch of girls into doing. If you go to hell, who cares, if you do enough messed up shit the devil will surely promote you, and half those ho's should be running around lookin to do some kinky shit to get out of torture! Fuckin win win!! Damn the workin man IS a chump!! Damn I'm a chump!

Do you like to read Cheat? You should read Don Delillo's White Noise if you do. It's nothing more than a work of fiction, no philosophy, just a work of postmodern fiction. It is humorous and thought provoking and might strike a chord with you. The main character and his wife are petrified by death and take a drug that is supposed to take the fear away.

Take two cats (preferably males), tie them together by their tails.
Hang them over a clothesline by their tied together tails.
If that doesn't cheer you up, nothing will.

Its not "im deressed please help"! I just dont see how people stay happy (or at least apear that way) 24/7 and was wondering if any one cpuld answer, thanks for all who tryto help though.
-
There is no answer, that is why. When you come to that conclusion or learn to repress it you will understand. End of Rckningday advice, back to humorous comments.

Random acts of kindness keep me upbeat and postive. There is my answer.
