Far into the future. Right now I think I need a sponsor. A few hours ago, I capped someone into the 10% safezone. Tomorrow, I shall drop 4k influence and resume this mini reign of noob terror. He's shaking in his boots, but I must stick with this for the sake of my recovery.Bella sounds like future sponsor material to me...

You know it might be helpful for the newcommers if we all talked about how we got started turfhugging. I mean what was it that we were trying to do? Why did we go there in the first place?
For me I think it was basic insecurity. I wanted people to like me and while I was hugging I genuinely thought that they did. I mean everyone was all smiles and nice and it gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling. I mistook that feeling for acceptance. I thought that everyone was my friend. I should have seen it though. Occasionally I'd ask for a tiny little favor and I'd get these subtle hints that they were holding out on me. These were my "friends" and yet they made these lame excuses why they couldn't help me. You know, things like "But I just started going out with her" and "I don't have that kind of money!"
-
See they weren't real friends. I think back to the old days before hugging and how I used to get people to like me. Sure it was hard work. You had to invest in those friendships. You had to put something of yourself into it. You had to hold a gun to their head. Now those were true friends. With my gun at their temple, they LOVED me with no reservations and weren't ashamed to tell me so. Sometimes I'd make them sing my praises for hours. There was nothing at all they wouldn't do for me. I am ashamed at how I let them all down.
-
Haha WTF are you talking about?

You are beginning to get an idea of the scope of this problem. It's huge. Statistics say that all you know at least twelve people that suffer from this addiction. I plan series of articles that tell how to identify these people an how to intervene.BellaItaliana wrote:

Hi, my name is Pjotter, and I have a confession. Among my friends I've been known as a Turfwarrior and a Warmonger, but I have a dark secret I must confess. I too am a turfhugger. I cannot count how many times I've stopped cappig someone because they whined or threatened me with a V. I know; I'm ashamed of myself. But I believe I can purge this compassion from my heart with the help of the Dirty Bastards' 12 step program. May some other noob have mercy on whatever poor souls soon face the return of my wrath.

There you go! See! It's really not so hard. You just have to take each attack one at a time. You keep it up and soon you'll be knocking over gas stations then on to holding up liquor stores. Sure it sucks to have to start at the bottom again but hey when you are at the bottom you have nowhere to go but up. Keep it up and soon you'll be looting pension funds and doing contract hits again. And it will feel good!

Oh and even though you may not have made it to step 12 yet, there is no harm is practicing it. Always leave your victims a polite little note. Since my chapter is called the Dirty Bastards, mine looks something like this:
This was not a personal attack. The Dirty Bastards has noticed that your gameplay of late has been decidedly lack luster. You appear to be suffering from early stages of Turf Hugging. If left untreated, this insidious disease could result in your being unable to distinguish the difference between turf wars and farmville. Alarming, isn't it? Don't worry. There is hope. Go out immediately and cap some turf. You will start to feel better but you are not cured. You must regularly cap turf if you expect to recover. Contact us to find out what more you can do. The Dirty Bastards - "We cap because we care"
-
Oh and you might want to point them to this thread so they can read up on the matter themselves. Education is always a powerful tool.
-
As stated before, I am working on a series of articles on identifying the various stages of Turf Hugging. If you have an insight into that subject, please PM me. The Lab is researching and studying night and day but there is no substitute for the war stories from the boots on the ground.
I'm out of stamina. Time to turn in. Checking under the pillow.... bazooka....glock.... knife.... Ah it's good to be home.

Another brother. Dunno how I missed that one but welcome. And thanks for the turf...

Hi! My name is Bunny and I'm a turfhugger. When I hit someone and they whine I end up giving advice. 😓
I will do my best to practice restraint. -

Morning all. I'd like to call to order this meeting of the Dirty Bastards chapter of tuefhuggers anonymous.
It's checkin time so if there are no objections (levels my AR-15 at the group) I'll start....
Hi my name is Jim Dirt and I'm a turfhugger. I'm really happy to report that I've had a pretty good day so far. I capped six turfs on my way to the meeting and when someone objected I capped another and ERed them. I felt alive.
Ok, who is next?

I, since I started the game, have whined whenever someone capped my turfs...it drove me into troll hood... Until I read this thread... Im happy to announce that I outright capped 2 bus from my friend and a turf from someone else. It feels so good... Just waiting for the retaliation

Isn't it exciting? Always looking over your shoulder. Having to take the booth in the back of the restaurant so you can see the door. You know, it's amazing how often we take these and other simple pleasures of life for granted.

It has been brought to my attention that we need to close our meetings with the serenity prayer. For those of you that don't know it, it goes like this:
Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the Courage to change the things I cannot accept, and
the Wisdom to hide the bodies of those people I had to kill today because they pissed me off.And also, help me to be careful of the toes I step on today
as they be connected to the ass that I may have to kiss tomorrow.Help me to always give 100% at work
12% on Monday.
23% on Tuesday.
40% on Wednesday.
20% on Thursday.
5% on Friday. And help me to remember...
When I'm having a really bad day,
and it seems that people are trying to piss me off,
that it takes 42 muscles to frown and only 4...
to extend my middle finger and tell them to bite me!
Amen -
I'm loving this thread...
