Then don’t take it. More for me.

Honestly! Great questions to ask. Always knowing the molecular mechanism for these things is always valuable.Does it bond with surface receptors? If so which ones, where in the body, and what effect does that have? Does it get into cells? What effect does that have? Which cells can it get into? It’s a really promising field but it’s too soon to risk it imo.
For example, I recall someone mentioned above (NAD+). This molecule is studied frequently by many scientists from many disciplines.
Even through injections, it’s hard to believe NAD+ can be absorbed efficiently, as the molecule is too large to pass through the cell membrane, rendering the injection most likely useless for anti-aging and energy. While it can be broken down into precursors (NR / NAM), such by extracellular surface receptors CD38 and CD157 (there are probably more I forgotten lmao), the next steps are the main issue.
-
Following the Salvaging pathway NAD+ Biogenesis, NR / NAM would have to be converted to NMN, which NMN is then finally converted to NAD+. There are two (or three) ways to do this…
1. NR + ATP —> NMN —> NAD+
You’re basically using energy to make NMN, to make NAD+, which your body considers inefficient, and it is a long process involving other non-listed steps as well)2. NR —> NAM —> NMN —> NAD+
Surprisingly, your body can just convert it to NAM, in smaller quantities, if it wants.
3. NAM —> NMN —> NAD+
Converting NAM to NAD+ is considered more energy efficient, but it is SLOW as in there is a rate limiting step. This rate limiting step is NAMPT, an enzyme that converts NAM to NMN.
-
This would mean your body cannot convert the byproducts of breaking down injected extracellular NAD+, which are NAM / NR fast enough into NMN to make a difference in NAD+ conversion. There isn’t an actual storage in your cells or body for NAM / NR, hence the excess NAM / NR will be excreted by your body through your Execratory system.
Anyways, returning to the main talking point of this forum. You’ll always find people reporting they may receive the positive effects of various medications, therapies, or supplements. Placebo effect is very strong, but also people don’t always take into account their own lifestyle and environmental changes. Such similar scams are collagen water and drinking EmergenC lmao.
A lot of injections / oral intakes are not FDA regulated or approved, and there has been a lack of HUMAN clinical trials on these, which makes me question SOME of these.

Also recommend Reta. This girl I’m working with has lost 16 pounds her first month on it. She just gets full much faster. When we’d take lunch together she could clear a whole fucking plate / main course plus appetizers at Cheesecake Factory and now she can’t eat the appetizers because she’d barely make a dent in her food if she did. She probably eats like a third of a plate now and then she taps lol.
I can’t hop on Reta cause my goals are different. I need every calorie I can get.

Peps, another way to get nano bots in your body.

Did you or a loved one take peptides from 2024-2038? If so you may be entitled to a cash reward!

the world is a better place if you people don’t take them lol. more for us.

i remember when people thought tv was going to be a big thing. but who the hell wants to stare at a screen all day? no way it turns into a success.
i remember when weightlifters obsessed over creatine. it totally didn’t become the most researched supplement on the entire planet.

also a house salad is worth 160 calories. if you’re trying to lose weight and ate it, you’re contributing to a caloric surplus = no help at all. 👍

Thinking peptides are just for weight loss is wild lol. I’m not saying they don’t come with potential problems but I’ve seen dudes that needed surgery on partially torn rotator cuffs recover without surgery in 3 months. I’ve seen dudes who couldn’t hold onto a cup because of arthritis be able to use their hand again. They have uses beyond some fatty trying to drop 100 lbs.G⃒๑อཞར८ ︻╦╤─✭ wrote:

I'm against taking anything unless absolutely necessary. I take Alleve once or twice a week for my knee pain, but wish I didn't have to. Rest of my support comes from stretching, squats, and bike rides. Wanna lose weight? Start using your body like our ancestors had to. Hard work was a part of life. If you aren't burning calories from at least walking then it's no wonder someone is overweight. Goes beyond just what you eat

Not to mention I have knee pain thanks to the invention of automobiles😅

I need to do some research on this. Peptides seems different from typical medicines. Basically send messages to your cells and shit? I guess they could be okay assuming adequate testing for unwanted effects is done
-
I just yell at my body and tell it to work harder🤣

Problem is they’re not that regulated and easy to get, for example i have a friend who’s getting 300 vials of GLP-R and it’s from china not tested im like bruh?
Are we even participating in the same conversation? Are you basing your responses on reality?

the peptides i get are from a lab and given to me by a person with a masters degree in sports medicine. i dont care where your friends get them, you just assume i dont know what im talking about because we’ve disagreed in the past. this thread was asking if people use them. my answer is yes and they work. better than anything else i’ve ever taken before. you can also buy test kits and test them yourself.
don’t take them.
