Peptides

With the increase in advertising and new forms of how to take them how does everyone feel about peptides? Does anyone use them? I know many that do
-
ive seen "cure" drugs come and go over the decades. none last, im assuming the claims are fake and its just a money grab.
-
im interested if anyone has done gene editing with crispr.

You have to get bloodwork done first. Too many companies and dr’s let you skip that step.
A good friend of ours 28f went on them and Dr didn’t require bloodwork: turns out she had cancer. Peptides made it go crazy when it should have been curable and she passed away last year.
That being said I’ve been on and off various shit over the years and never had an issue.

Problem is they’re not that regulated and easy to get, for example i have a friend who’s getting 300 vials of GLP-R and it’s from china not tested im like bruh?

im very pro scientific/genetic research advancement. i see no problems with pushing boundaries. in fact why not use the fetus's from all the abortions for testing since those arent real people? no prob with human trials since they arent human and the moms obviously dont care what happens.

NAD+, GHK, BPC all get a big thumbs up from me

Did not think I’d find a subject I would find interesting!
I’ve work(ed) in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industry in R&D teams. My focus is generally ‘Biochemistry’ to put it simply. Though that’s a large and vague subject.
Let’s discuss what are peptides, starting with amino acids.
Amino acids are naturally occurring organic compounds, one of the four macromolecules, and amino acids are the basic building blocks to synthesizing proteins.
-
What are peptides?
Peptides are basically small chains of these amino acids. Polypeptides are basically much larger chains, and eventually you can synthesize proteins by binding these polypeptides together.
Therefore,
Amino Acids —> Peptides (or more Polypeptides) —> Proteins
Your cells naturally synthesizes proteins that’s necessary for its (and your body’s) function. Your body also naturally synthesizes certain amino acids, and the rest can be obtained through a regular diet. There are 20 types of amino acids, and all of them can be commonly found through normal foods containing protein.
-
Now here’s the issue with peptide supplements.
Your body breaks down organic compounds when you consume it. This includes proteins and peptides. Most peptides, and protein you consume will be broken down in amino acids in your stomach and small intestine, before it is absorbed into your blood.
This means that the “benefits” of consuming most peptides for its benefits is negligible due to its form being denatured (broken down) into the most basic subunit, amino acids.
This would also mean that a majority of those supplements do not work, as their intended function is no longer available due to being denatured.
Honestly, just eat a normal, healthy, and balanced diet.

And Quoting this since this section caught my interest.
While NAD+ is not a peptide, it is still metabolized (broken down) within our digestive system. Our cells naturally synthesizes NAD+ (and it can also recycle it between NADH). No need to really take supplements for it, as it’s really… a waste of money.
GHK is a peptide that will be metabolized (broken down), as well. Similar fate to what I provided above.
BPC-157 is actually an exception due to its resistance to a high-acidic environment (and protease resistant, as well). After all, it is a modified form of BPC, which is found in human gastric juices. If I recall correctly, there are a lack of large-scale human trials, thus it’s not FDA approved.Last Note: All of what I said pertains to ORALLY CONSUMING peptides. Any other forms of treatment is a basis to basis case.
-
No one should or does orally consume peptides boss lol. They’re injected.
I can say from experience and anecdotal evidence, which is the best evidence by far, that they work. Night and day difference.

Brca2 production is regulated by your dna, providing it more precursors/peptides will not increase it, if you have a good diet
you already get all the amino acids you need.. and there’s still so many unknowns, could your peptides be quietly supercharging cancerous cells somewhere in your body? These seem contradictory because if it’s not affecting your normal cells why would it be affecting cancer cells, but it could, and that’s the problem, we don’t know yet. -
Does it bond with surface receptors? If so which ones, where in the body, and what effect does that have? Does it get into cells? What effect does that have? Which cells can it get into? It’s a really promising field but it’s too soon to risk it imo.
