Imagine being upset because someone is uncovering the fraudulent and unnecessary waste of your money.
It’s the equivalent of your credit card company calling you being like hey someone in China just charged $10k to your card, was it you? Then yelling at them and complaining.

I’m sure the liberal media is making out like he has access to the money, as opposed to the truth that he has read-only access in order to find fraudulent/unnecessary spending. Just like they were making out like the tariffs would fuck up the economy when really he wanted the border secured and dropped a lot of the tariffs(or at least reduced them).Imagine being upset because someone is uncovering the fraudulent and unnecessary waste of your money.

It is a catch 22, they can identify more easily who is actually getting the checks from pork spending set up by previous administrations and the publicize the crap out of the waste and partisan spending to vilify political rivals- it comes with the territory
-
While working in govt the common phrase always repeated was if you were to see your decisions or their results on the front page of a newspaper- would you be proud or nervous as hell.

I worked at the IRS years ago when I was in college on an internship. I had to make a copy so I walked to the unoccupied copier and went to make my one copy. An angry secretary confronted me and told me if I made my one copy I was gonna make her lose her job. Ya see i had to fill out a form, email it to her, wait for her to make the copy, then have her give it to someone to bring to me. It took 2 days and multiple steps. This is our government.

Like USAID paying for the tuition of an Al Queda member- as was one of the articles posted today regarding somethings identified as a result of USAID shutdown and review

Just lost my job in the federal level… the USAID was cut off from my research in magical basket weaving.

Why would USAID be funding cancer research? Medical research should be direct funding from agency of oversight for medical research, not an agency for foreign aid programs
-
NIH is the primary funder of medical research using federal funds
-
USAID does provide funds for global health enhancement e.g. malaria In impoverished countries, tb, etc. why isn’t the WHO funding this or NATO? I would bet that they do. So the question becomes how many sources are paying for the same thing but are not directly collaborating in efforts? The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing.

USAID was instrumental in ending the Ebola outbreak in West Africa, which, if I remember correctly, killed 2 people in the US. I think one was an American health care worker who came back from treating ebola patients and died in America.

Fix the boarders first, fix the American Economy first. Then you can worry about sending your tax dollars to other Countries.

So I’ll attempt to take the original post point by point.
Detention camps are horrible and expedient deportation is important to avoid unnecessarily impeding on the rights of people that while criminal, in many cases are pitiable and deserving of being returned to living their lives in their home countries as quickly as can be facilitated.
Strong borders are necessary for a free and safe society. It’s quite possible that there are foreign terrorist cells in our nation now because of our failings in doing so.
The trans thing takes so much nuance to talk about when someone’s been deeply entrenched in the ideology, no point in touching on. They haven’t been “dehumanized” by any presidential action.
The rich dudes in the unelected positions are replacing rich dudes in unelected positions they’re called appointments every president does 100’s if not 1000’s.
The US education system is clearly fucking flawed, I’m not necessarily of the opinion that the entire DoE needs to be dissolved but change is needed.

It isn’t gone. Cancer research and disease in general will continue. It is more a matter of being able to acces and identify in how many ways and through how many processes does it get to the researchers. Fed aid costs a minimum of 30% admin costs - add in the labor, supplies and overhead for the department to oversee the implementation
-
Which means that roughly $0.40 of Fed grant funds actually end up reaching the researcher entity. It costs a dollar to oversee the issuance of $1.75
-
Now when it becomes uncontrollable and uncomfortable is when the agency then has to contract out the admin and implementation- now the agency and the contractor both get operational costs paid.
-
Messing with research funding of any kind can cause massive delays and potentially kill a project, especially with the kinds of resources we use to develop medications and vaccinations. 30% of 0 is significantly lower than 30% of any funding, and frankly I’d rather have people doing research even if there’s a required profit somewhere, because the alternative is no research and preventable illness or death.

Everybody wants the border issues fixed. But it never seems to get fixed. In 2016 we elected a president who's biggest campaign issue was to fix the border and repeal Obamacare. More wall was built under Obama than Trump. Actually, the most wall was built under Bill Clinton. What we need is less talk and more action.BigAl! wrote:

Once you realize USAID is USA-ID and not US-AID it becomes less defensible.
It’s just the US version of China’s belt and road initiative. It’s a way to funnel money to counties to do whatever we want. All the crazy shit that’s being uncovered was never going to be paid for. It was just money going to counties to bribe them into doing what we want. But newsflash. We’re the biggest baddest country on the planet. We don’t have to bribe people. We can force their hand economically with tariffs and sanctions. Trumps the first president in forever to understand this. Americans are the largest consumers in the world. Good luck selling your exports here with 50% tariffs if you don’t comply.

So far , I’m getting what I voted for. Even more, truthfully.
I’m amazed how people eat up the media puke that create a bunch of radical mental cases who’s heads spin and pop off if you say you believe there are two genders and trans is delusional plus the government wastes my tax payer money and I don’t think they can police themselves, that politicians and bureaucrats are crooked and pocketing our money and only want to control us. Citizens have constitutional rights not those here illegally cuz they jumped a fence or ran across a border and so on and so forth. So cry if it makes ya feel better. GO MERICA! -
