Pronouns are an important part of identity, they should be allowed on name tags. The problem is people like the crew in this thread use it as a weapon against them, so it’s tough to put them out in public. Until the anti-pronoun mindset dies out it will be awhile before they become more normalized imo.Can we wrap this the fuck up and decide what is appropriate to be included on an employee name tag and what should be omitted so that our leaders can pass laws to enforce name tags are to code…

For the most part I come to my own conclusions, I think you asked that earlier. I’ve had the privilege to study many different religions in addition to Christianity, which I consider my faith, and between that and my own understanding of the world I formulate the basic “right/wrong” and then begin to analyze everything in between “pure right and pure wrong” because we live in a messy imperfect world.‡☠ѺⱤǷӇΞƲδ☠‡ wrote:

I guess I get it. My brother in law came back from basic and started calling everyone ma’am and sir. Could this cause old Max to be offended or upset? Yea probably.
But also Max should have tougher skin. Because Max is going to clock out at the Lego store and go into the real world without their trusty name tag on and if they can’t pass they’ll face the same issues there.
I don’t care what Max identifies as. I don’t care if they have a penis or vagina, who they sleep with or what religion they are. Because Max is my fucking cashier, not my friend.

I used to claim to be an Atheist, but i didnt have enough faith to hold a worldview that could not give basis to reason and ethics. Im also a student of many different religions however they are all idolatrous as Scriptures teach, “thou shalt have no other Gods before me.”
Is it safe to say that you apply your senses and reasoning when your own “faith and own understanding” about what is right and wrong?

While at Walmart there was a woman with he kids crying hysterically. Apparently she had lost $300 and couldn’t pay for her groceries and otc medicine. I was happy to give her $40.00. I had found $300 earlier and if God blesses you, you must bless others or the blessings will stop.

Everything happens for a reason….
Obviously she did something bad in her life to lose that money, and you must have done something good. Bless your heart. -

Aug I guess I’m a bad Christian cause I don’t believe it’s the only way to the afterlife? Quite frankly a majority of religions believe in a similar/ the same God and afterlife, just a few different details. You don’t have to idolize a religion when you study it either… I’m honestly not even sure what you were asking me regarding my morals, could you rephrase?

How do you define acceptance?
Is it live and let live or is it support and encourage beliefs and values that are diametrically opposed to your own?
Are certain values and beliefs “worthy” of acceptance and others not, and if so, who determines that- the majority? the biggest armies? The money changers? The spiritual leaders? The penal code?
-
I wonder the % of people who say “I’ve studied multiple religions” online would pass a basic test on religions. I’m going to guess under 1%.

i do think there’s a big difference in having language that isn’t generally accepted, call it “hate speech” for lack of a better term, and having language that is being forced upon people, and i believe pronouns would fall under that category.
i don’t think it’s a matter of “having to use someone’s pronouns” people can literally make up pronouns and claim them, how am i at fault for not using it? it’s a matter of if they ask you for them to refer to them as something, you may do so if u please, don’t see why if ever need to know this ab my cashier, as the conversation, if any, would last all of 90 seconds. i can ask people to call me a dragon, and hey some people might be into it, but i cant force people to call me by my new title. i can get pissed at people who don’t call me dragon, but where does that get me? probably not master builder status at lego anytime soon.

How’d we get to this from a gender name tag

Don't be hating gender or race we all live breath the same it takes all sorts to make this great world go around. Only 2 things in life you gotta do is die 🤷♂️ and fucking hate Baic and raider the cunt.

If your standing on Scripture are in complete opposition with what Scripture teaches then its fair to say you arent in obedience to faith. Uniformity of nature and the Law of non-contradiction can show us that you are either thee things; ignorant, delusional or lying about the Christian worldview. God has revealed these things yet you openly reject them.
Since your claiming to be a christian, my question will change-
Has God revealed things so that we can know for certain how we ought to live?

You feel strongly and rightly so. Others feel strongly as well and understand that tolerance is much different than acceptance. For many the concept of acceptance is much different than tolerance. I would not expect a Muslim to accept the deeply held beliefs of a Christian and vice versa. I would expect them to each tolerate eachother’s rights to have deeply held convictions. I have long hair and a ponytail, I have been called ma’am and sir by strangers who did not know me. I take it as a them speaking in a polite manner and not as an affront to my being.
