At least two members of Ukraine's negotiating team and Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich suffered symptoms of poisoning following talks between Russian and Ukrainian delegations on March 3, The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday.
The report, which was confirmed by the investigative journalistic group Bellingcat, said the symptoms included skin and eye irritation. However, these all appeared to subside within a day.
The condition of those who reported suffering the effects of supposed poisoning have all improved and none is in danger, The Wall Street Journal reported.
Experts also told them that the small dosage was probably not enough to be life-threatening and was likely meant to intimidate.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told Russian and Ukrainian delegations due to resume face-to-face talks today that "both parties have legitimate concerns".
The talks are due to kick off shortly at the Dolmabahce palace in Istanbul to try and end a war that has killed an estimated 20,000 people and forced more than 10 million from their homes.

Russia will "radically" reduce its military activity in northern Ukraine, including near the capital Kyiv, after "meaningful" talks in Istanbul, Moscow's negotiators have said.
"Given that the talks on the preparation of an agreement on the neutrality and non-nuclear status of Ukraine have moved into a practical field... a decision has been made to radically... reduce the military activity in the areas of Kyiv and Chernigiv," Russia's deputy defence minister Alexander Fomin said.
Chief negotiator Vladimir Medinsky said there had been a "meaningful discussion" at the talks and that Ukrainian proposals would be put to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He also said that Putin could meet Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky. -

Russia has stated it will have 134,000 additional troops drafted for April 1st.
WARNING
Russia has issued a new warning to the West stating that anyone who supplies missile defence systems or fighter aircraft to Ukraine will be dealt with accordingly. -
The head of the so-called Donetsk People's Republic — a part of Ukraine controlled by Russian-backed separatists since 2014 — has said the region will consider joining Russia, according to the Donetsk News Agency.
This comes two days after Russian-backed rebels in Luhansk said they may hold a referendum on joining Russia. Kyiv said such a move would not have legal basis and warned of an international response.
Reminder: this is exactly how the illegal annexation of Crimea went down.

Ramzan Kadyrov is the strongman leader of the Chechen Republic - a province within the Russian Federation
Ramzan Kadyrov has routinely stated publicly that he is in Ukraine and fighting. Ramzan Kadyrov has recently stated that he doesn't want peace talks - he wants to keep fighting. Ramzan Kadyrov sent pictures of himself supposedly wearing Prada boots to war.
Today Russian state media posted a picture of Ramzan Kadyrov praying at a gas station. In the picture has a light machine gun at his side and numerous soldiers armed with rifles watching his back. Russian state media claims the picture was taken in Ukraine.. yet the gas station they took the picture at was a Rosneft gas station.. the Russian State oil company.. which doesn't have any stations in Ukraine..
Ramzan Kadyrov never went to battle in his Prada boots because he never stepped foot in Ukraine.

The governor of Ukraine's northern Chernihiv region said this morning that he saw no let-up in Russian attacks, despite a promise by Moscow to scale down military operations there.
"Do we believe in it (the promise)? Of course not," Governor Viacheslav Chaus said on the Telegram messaging app.
"The 'decreased activity' in the Chernihiv region was demonstrated by the enemy carrying out strikes on (the city of) Nizhyn, including air strikes, and all night long they hit (the city of) Chernihiv."Shelling could be heard outside Kyiv overnight, but the Ukrainian capital itself was not shelled by Russian forces, deputy mayor Mykola Povoroznyk said this morning.
"The night passed relatively calmly, to the sounds of sirens and the sound of gunfire from battles around the city, but there was no shelling in the city itself," Mr Povoroznyk told national television. -
Russia has repositioned a "small number" of its forces near Kyiv but is not withdrawing and may be preparing to conduct a "major offensive" elsewhere in Ukraine, the Pentagon has said.
"We're seeing a small number now that appears to be moving away from Kyiv, this on the same day that the Russians say they're withdrawing," Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said.
Mr Kirby was speaking just hours after Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin said that Moscow would scale down fighting around Kyiv and the northern city of Chernigiv after progress was made in peace talks held in Istanbul."What I can tell you is that the vast majority of the assembled force that we saw against Kyiv is still there," Mr Kirby said.
"We've only seen a small number begin to move away from Kyiv, mostly to the north."
"Russia has failed in its objective of capturing Kyiv," the Pentagon spokesman said, but "it does not mean that the threat to Kyiv is over." -

The Kremlin has played down hopes of a breakthrough following peace talks between Russian and Ukrainian delegates in Istanbul, saying there was nothing "promising" emerging from the negotiations.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that Russia had not noticed anything really promising or that looked like a breakthrough, and said there was a long period of work ahead.
Ukraine presented its demands when negotiators from the two sides met in Turkey yesterday before adjourning to consult with their capitals. -
Following the talks in Istanbul on Tuesday that Moscow's main negotiator described as "meaningful", Russia said it would be significantly reducing its military activity near Ukraine's capital Kyiv and the city of Chernihiv.
The invasion has been halted on most fronts by stiff resistance from Ukrainian forces who have recaptured territory even as civilians are trapped in besieged cities.
Britain's Ministry of Defence in an intelligence update said: "It is highly likely that Russia will seek to divert combat power from the north to their offensive in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions in the east."

Russian forces have bombarded the outskirts of Kyiv and a besieged city in northern Ukraine, a day after promising to scale down operations there in what the West dismissed as a ploy to regroup by invaders suffering heavy losses.
Nearly five weeks into an invasion in which Russia has failed to capture any major city, the top UN human rights official said Moscow had bombed 50 hospitals as well as homes and schools across Ukraine in what may amount to war crimes.
Ukrainian officials called Russia out for having said yesterday that it would curtail operations near Kyiv and the northern city of Chernihiv "to increase mutual trust" for peace talks. -
Ukrainian forces are preparing for new Russian attacks in the east of the country as Russia builds up its troops there after suffering setbacks near the capital Kyiv, President Volodymyr Zelensky has said.
Russia's invasion of its neighbour, now in its fifth week, has driven around a quarter of Ukrainians from their homes and brought Russian-Western tensions to their worst point since the Cold War.
Tough resistance by Ukrainian forces has prevented Russia from capturing any major city, including Kyiv, where a Russian armed column was held back for weeks.
At peace talks this week in Istanbul, Russia said it would curtail operations near Kyiv and the northern city of Chernihiv to build trust.
However Ukraine and its Western allies, including the United States, dismissed Russia's pledge as a ploy to stem its losses and prepare for other attacks. -
The head of Britain's GCHQ spy service said new intelligence showed some Russian soldiers had refused to carry out orders, sabotaged their own equipment and accidentally shot down one of their own aircraft.
Russia says its forces are regrouping to focus on"liberating" the breakaway eastern Donbas region.
In an early morning video address, Mr Zelensky referred to Russian troop movements away from Kyiv and Chernihiv and said that was not a withdrawal but rather "the consequence of our defenders' work."
Mr Zelensky added that Ukraine is seeing "a build-up of Russian forces for new strikes on the Donbas and we are preparing for that."
The Donbas region encompasses two self-proclaimed "people's republics" that Russia says it is helping to free from Ukrainian control.

Russian forces 'shell evacuation convoy' at Chernihiv
One person was killed and four seriously wounded when Russian forces shelled an evacuation convoy outside the northern Ukrainian city of Chernihiv, officials in Kyiv said today.
"Five buses came under direct fire from the enemy as they tried to get to the surrounded city to evacuate people," Ukraine's ombudswoman Lyudmyla Denisova said on Telegram.
"There were only civilian volunteers on the buses. As a result of the shelling, one person is dead, four were gravely injured." -
Russia's troops risk being attacked by Ukrainian forces - Radakin
Russia's bid to take all of Ukraine during its invasion looks to have "fallen apart" as Vladimir Putin's troops retreat away from Kyiv, the head of Britain's armed forces has said.
Tony Radakin said the Russian president had been "misled" about the effectiveness of his country's armed forces, with "early indications" suggesting Moscow was withdrawing troops - a move that has opened them up to counter attacks by Ukrainian defenders.
He announced that the UK was "incredibly cautious" about believing Russian claims of withdrawing from Kyiv, but said there did appear to be signs the Kremlin was preparing to focus its efforts on the east and south of Ukraine. -
Russia cannot be constructive partner at G20 table - Canada PM
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said that Russia cannot be a constructive partner in the G20, which is composed by most of the world's largest economies, because of its invasion of Ukraine.
Speaking to reporters in Ottawa, Mr Trudeau said G20 leaders were having conversations about Russia's presence in the G20 because the Ukraine invasion has "upended economic growth for everyone around the world and can't possibly be a constructive partner". -

As rations run out, invading Russian troops are forced to eat abandoned dogs
Russian troops are eating abandoned pet dogs as they run out of poor-quality rations which have quickly dwindled among the badly trained conscripts sent to Ukraine.
In a 45-second call from a Russian soldier to his family, intercepted by Ukraine’s security service, Ukrainian commanders learned enemy troops were “sick” of the ready meals they have been given and that not many are left.During the call the soldier was asked: “Are you eating OK at least?” He replied: “Not too bad. We had alabay [a breed of sheepdog] yesterday. We wanted some meat.”
Soldiers have been given packs of rations commonly provided to troops in the field where food is unavailable. The packs have the advantage of long use-by dates and do not require refrigeration.

Earlier this week there were reports a massive effort had been undertaken to rescue abandoned cats and dogs that, it was feared, would be eaten by hungry Russian soldiers who have been accused of looting supermarkets and begging Ukrainians for food.
Earlier this month, a farmer living near Kherson, in the south of the country, said Russian soldiers had seized his produce, telling him they were “nationalising” it.
A video recording also showed a Ukrainian woman providing tea and a snack to a Russian soldier and passing him her mobile phone so he could call his mother.
Other transcripts of calls allegedly made by Russian troops saying they have run out of ammunition and fuel have laid bare their low morale.Vladimir Putin is facing a growing backlash over his use of conscripts unprepared for the reality of the war on Ukraine.
Shellshocked soldiers have claimed they were sent over the border believing they were “saving” Ukrainians, only to be confronted by a brutal battle for territory.

Putin is embroiled in a feud with his military leaders who, according to reports, misled him over the use of young soldiers in Mariupol, Kherson, and other war-torn cities.
On March 9, the defence ministry acknowledged that conscripts had been sent to Ukraine.
Putin had previously said only professional soldiers and officers were expected to fight. His spokesman said at the time that the president had ordered military prosecutors to investigate and punish those responsible for disobeying his orders.
However, yesterday he signed a decree conscripting 134,500 young people into the army as part of Russia’s annual spring draft. The defence ministry said the call-up was unrelated to the war.

One Russian mother whose son was killed fighting for his country in Ukraine last night said the war was justified. The woman, named as Natalya, told Deutsche Welle, the German broadcaster, that her son Yevgeny “died for us” and added Russia must “press on until we achieve victory”.
Her son, a 26-year-old staff sergeant, was killed in fighting at Hostomel airport, near Kyiv, on the first day of the war.
Natalya said the Russian army told Yevgeny he was being sent on a military exercise near the border with Belarus and defied new laws under which Russians face up to 15 years in jail for the “crime” of describing the “special operation” in Ukraine as a “war” or “invasion”.
“This is a proper war,” she said. “I am aware we are not supposed to call it that, but it is a war. It’s a bloodbath.”
However, she claimed her son had not died in vain.
“If we had not started bombing them, the Ukrainians would have bombed us. We had no choice.”

Russian soldiers likely exposed to Chernobyl radiation: Ukraine
Russian soldiers were likely exposed to radiation while they were occupying the area around the Chernobyl nuclear power station over the past four weeks, Ukrainian officials have said.
Vehicles used by Russian forces would have raised radioactive dust clouds and soldiers also dug trenches in the most contaminated part of the site, Ukraine's nuclear agency Energoatom said.
"All the equipment at the Chernobyl power station is functioning. The control and radiation monitoring systems function as usual," power station chief Valery Seida said in a statement.
"The thick dust that their vehicles raised into the air and the radioactive particles it contains can easily penetrate into the Russians' organism through their lungs," Seida said.
