Russian President Vladimir Putin's chief spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, has conceded that Russia has yet to achieve any of its military goals in Ukraine and refused to deny that Moscow could resort to the use of nuclear weapons.
Peskov, refused to rule out that Russia would consider using nuclear weapons against what Moscow saw as an "existential threat." -

Putin is struggling.
It is believed this would have less of an impact militarily than it will geopolitically, given the implications of another country joining the war.
Thousands of their combat units are ready to deploy.Kyiv is heavily fortified and it is thought Putin maybe about to use chemical or biological weapons in an attempt to defeat it.

An international commission says syria did use chemical weapons on its own people.

Remember last time Syria used chemical warfare and we fucking launched a missile barrage on their country without a formal declaration of war 👀I'm interested to see how things pan out this time around.

A NATO official estimated that up to 15,000 Russian troops have been killed in Ukraine so far and that a total of up to 40,000 have been killed, wounded, taken prisoner or are missing.

I dont see the Leopard 2 or Challenger 2 getting clapped by peasants armed with molotovs and tractors despite Britain and Germany spending less than Russia.

Thousands of miles from Ukraine, Russia was conducting military drills on islands claimed by Tokyo, Japanese media said, days after Moscow halted peace talks with Japan because of its sanctions over the invasion of Ukraine.

Putin shouldn't be in office. He's letting his civilians suffer, denying his people their right to freedom of expression, killing young soldiers, and plunging his country into economic collapse all for pointless military conquest.

Russia wants to split Ukraine into two, as happened with North and South Korea, Ukraine's military intelligence chief has said, vowing "total" guerrilla warfare to prevent a carve-up of the country.

After more than four weeks of conflict, Russia has failed to seize any major Ukrainian city and Moscow signalled on Friday it was scaling back its ambitions to focus on securing the Donbass region of eastern Ukraine, where Russian-backed separatists have been fighting the Ukrainian army for the past eight years.
A local leader in the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic has said the region could soon hold a referendum on joining Russia, just as happened in Crimea after Russia seized the Ukrainian peninsula in 2014.Crimeans voted overwhelmingly to break with Ukraine and join Russia - a vote that much of the world refused to recognise.
"In fact, it is an attempt to create North and South Korea in Ukraine," Kyrylo Budanov, the head of Ukrainian military intelligence, said in a statement, referring to the division of Korea after World War Two. -

The mayor of Irpin, near Kyiv, has said that Ukrainian forces had seized back full control of the town which has been one of the main hotspots of fighting with Russian troops near the capital.
"We have good news today - Irpin has been liberated," Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn said in a video post on Telegram. "We understand that there will be more attacks on our town and we will defend it courageously." -
A group of Russian riot police is suing for wrongful dismissal after being sacked for refusing to invade Ukraine.
Twelve officers from the Omon special police unit rebelled against the plans when they were ordered to cross the border into Ukraine on February 25, the day after President Vladimir Putin launched his invasion. The unit had been deployed on what they thought was an exercise in Crimea when their orders changed.
“These people didn’t want to kill or be killed,” said Mikhail Benyash, lawyer for the rebel officers. “They don’t know how to shoot ground-to-air gun systems, they don’t drive tanks. What can they do against a regular army with a baton and a shield?”
Mr Putin had expected an easy victory in Ukraine and it is understood Omon units were to be used to impose his authority over captured cities.

A Ukrainian man who survived the Nazi Holocaust during World War Two has been killed during a Russian attack on the eastern city of Kharkiv.
Boris Romantschenko, 96, died during Russian shelling of his apartment block on Friday, relatives said.
Russian forces have been relentlessly shelling Kharkiv, which lies just 30 miles (50km) from the border, for over three weeks.
At least 500 civilians have now been killed there, Ukrainian officials say. -

Conveniently Russia has failed to investigate the countless war crimes they have committed (eg: shooting children and journalists).
