I’m not aware of such an announcement. They appear to have forgotten to announce it to us Brits. Several MPs have questioned Biden’s ability, though. Maybe that’s what your media heard and have taken it as an announcement.

You commit a crime - you are caught and sentenced - you serve your sentence - you go back to society a free man, no longer considered a criminal.
Whatever he did in the past is irrelevant. Calling him a criminal implies he was doing something wrong at the time, which he absolutely wasn't.

Interesting to see paint drinking remains a popular hobby amongst a segment of the American population and some found their way onto here.
How on earth are the fundamental concepts of the justice system delusional? Its factually how this stuff is meant to work. America was explicitly founded such principles. You do the crime, you do the time.
And ok. He'd maybe ended up with a fake $20. Isn't that the sort of thing that usually lands you with a ticket rather than the full Judge Dredd? Hell, in most places that wouldn't even get you a police response in the moment at all.
Nobody thinks George Floyd was a saint. That's delusional thinking. It is curious that his case was the straw that finally broke the camels back as I've seen far more horrifying examples in the run up to the protests breaking out. But let's stop the boot licking and trying to reduce the severity of what happened with pathetic excuses that basically say "he used to be in jail tho so no big loss".

The left and internet trolls have become very good at shifting any criticism, valid or not, into a TRUMP WAS BAD, or my favorite, YOURE ALL RACIST, argument.
Above we have someone, who I’m guessing doesn’t live in the United States, arguing about George Floyd on a thread that was largely about the consequences of voting for a senile incompetent fool over an awful person who was adequate at his job.
I’m not sure if I should say well done or go fuck yourself. So I’ll say both.
