Wait I thought they banned those a while back along with pencils.I can’t help but notice that Chicago is safer than London, where you have to kill your rapist with a screwdriver you concealed from the police.

If they could just somehow ban murder, they would save a ton of effort trying to ban everything that could potentially be used to perform murder.Brown🎵Note wrote:

Well usually gangs either use the same guns and lend them out to members, or wipe and drop at the scene because theyre too lazy to cange the firing pin, barrel, etc. Although all you really have to do is catch the casings or use a revolver☠NoLaw☠ wrote:
Criminals will always find ways to get guns if they want them. There are more guns than people in this country. Are they going to be able to buy back nearly enough? I don’t think buy backs influence gang violence in places like Chicago at all. What gang members are going to willingly give up their weapons..?Theres perfectly easy ways to make guns even if they were banned lol, ive made a working .22 out of toilet pipe, and a single shot 12 guage shotgun costs like $5 worth of pipe to build lmao

Chicago is worse than Houston because northern urbanites like cheaper rimfire. In Houston, center fire is used.

Here is an except from a vox article on a suggestion for slowing gun violence:
Alcohol has been linked to violence. According to the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, alcohol is a factor in 40 percent of violent crimes. And a 2010 study found a strong relationship between alcohol stores and gun assaults. These statistics and research are one of the big reasons that possessing a gun while drunk is largely illegal”
“A higher alcohol tax: A 2010 review of the research in the American Journal of Public Health came out with strong findings: "Our results suggest that doubling the alcohol tax would reduce alcohol-related mortality by an average of 35%, traffic crash deaths by 11%, sexually transmitted disease by 6%, violence by 2%, and crime by 1.4%."
