Why is Chicago so violent?

This is sideways gibberish talk. It’s the right to bear arms. Also there is a clear difference between using a gun to defend yourself over attacking other Americans. If another American breaks in my house or try’s harming my family it is them doing the attacking so yes I will use my right to defend myself. So much distraction from the real issue. Americans are told by the word of law that they can have guns to defend themselves. It’s their right. This means many Americans believe it’s okay to defend themselves with guns and defend their right to do so. This means you need guns to attack Americans because Americans have guns to defend themselves.

The 2nd amendment is crucial. It’s something you’re born with. If it is taken, what’s stopping them from taking other rights you’re born with? It’s more than just *guns*, it is a right that you are *born* with. That’s what’s more important.

Case in point x 2.

The right to bear arms.
Is the right of individuals to protect their lives an property. This includes from criminals, organizations and yes even government. It is absolutely a citizen’s right to defend themselves against a government who is an immediate threat to their lives or property WHEN that governs is acting illegally. That is the crux of the issue- whose determination of illegal government is going to prevail. My guess is the government will tend to back themselves and not the individual. Self preservation is the name of the game. -

Funny that. Having a fun doesn’t make you bulletproof. Remind me again why you Americans need them?

I’m wondering why you need guns if guns don’t protect you from guns.

You need the right to have a gun bc now that they exist if america made them illegal it would only hurt those who follow the laws. You can buy an off the market pistol for $50 in the hood.I’m wondering why you need guns if guns don’t protect you from guns.

I can’t help but notice that Chicago is safer than London, where you have to kill your rapist with a screwdriver you concealed from the police.
-
I mean, living in D.C., this list looks off. Putting Washington DC on a “safest city” list is like putting a Bill Cosby on the list of “Best Bartenders”.
-
LOL, that list is way off. Not denying London has it’s hot spots though. Every town/city does. Even where I live on the East coast people sometimes get shanked.

It is what it is because when seconds matter, cops are minutes away. The Supreme Court has already ruled that police do not have an obligation to protect anyone, a reasonable response time from police in Chicago is a couple minutes at best.So it is what it is because it is what it is and so it always will be. That’s progress.

People travel to LA to go to Disney, Universal and the beach, not Compton, East LA, Duarte, Riverside, El Monte, Pomona, etc……

Wouldn’t get shanked if you had a gun.

Stab vests are interesting. The only place I’ve heard the term is in British movies. Here we use ballistic vests, because let’s kill two birds with one stone.☠ᴛʜᴇ ᴇɴғᴏʀᴄᴇʀ☠ wrote:

The gun makes it a fair fight in rape negotiations. Why take that away from the vulnerable among us?
Anyway, it’s clear the English are still a bit raw over that whole revolutionary war thing. Sour grapes if you ask me.

For real ive been in rooms with kilos of coke and walls stacked with guns, the dirty guns they were letting go cheap. Gangsters will always have guns, and even if the government magically found them all, its eady to make a $10 shotgun or convert military surplus flare guns into sing shot pistols🔥B337🔥 wrote:
