Just going to correct some misinformation, then y'all go back to doing whatever you will.
1) Death rate for COVID has never been 1% in the US. It's currently 1.8% and skewing towards a younger demographic. Worldwide it's 3.8%.
2) Death and asymptomatic case aren't the only options. Long hospitalizations, long-term organ damage, and long-COVID are all possible. Long-COVID hits 1 out of every 3 people, with about 20% still fighting symptoms after 6+ months.
3) Not everyone needs to be vaccinated for herd immunity, but enough do. I think the estimate was 65-75%.
4) The mRNA vaccine that both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are based on is a flu vaccine that was already in Stage 3 tests (since 2019).

You are thinking of the CFR. That is what is higher than 1%. The ifr does seem to be trending towards 1% though. Worldwide numbers are a mess though with smaller countries having minimal testing/tracking or not having “old” people. Life expectancy only 55 then less people in country killed by covid. No healthcare then less people survive w/co morbidities. 85% was last I saw for herd.
True. The original didn't specify IFR vs CFR though. IIRC, it said only 1% of those who get it die.

I’m going to be honest. I don’t care if the vaccine gives me a third eye or not. The CDC checks in on me weekly. I’ve never felt more loved or cared for in my entire life. That’s why I got the vaccine.
