Well friends, I have decided to finally hang up the tommy guns.
Hard to believe I have had this game on my phone(s) for almost 10 years. Crazy actually. Anyways, my time has come. I briefly debated hitting reset, but have instead settled for deleting the app. I long ago forgot my password, so that seems sufficient.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of playing with some great people. The most fun and memorable times were during the early years, when there were lots of alliances of all sizes. The game felt diverse, social, very active, and yet it was a small and intimate community.

I get asked on a semi-regular basis to update the TTNews Power Rankings. Usually, I would convene a committee of players from the different alliances and run a ranking survey. For my final post and as I turn out the lights on this game, I have decided to offer my final thoughts on how I see the Top 5 alliances:

#1: Fungal - This confederation of former stars, madfam, bigs, and Minc. (and others) have stayed firm and held strong. Fungal has fought a 5+ year war of attrition grinding it out against BAIC. The advantage has swung in both directions over the course of the war. However, the last few years has seen Fungal make steady progress in BAIC strongholds, including California, long time considered on "lock downed" by BAIC.
#2: CAPO / Lex Talionis - A deep roster, strong map coverage, and some of the biggest heavyweights in the game. Smart diplomacy, strong leadership, and a good attitude has allowed CAPO and to grow and expand for many years, which has been reflected in their being ranked #1 in previous Power Rankings. All these points considered, however, CAPO has not fought a war against an equal opponent for at least 5 years, and that has been reflected in my scoring.

#3: BAIC - Long considered the best of the best, BAIC did a lot of things right for many years, and toppled many other top tier alliance along the way, notably the STARs and CMS. In more recent years, it appears that BAIC has suffered attrition at a higher rate than its peers, and that drops them down into third spot in my view.
#4: The Commission - Amazing these guys are still going, having fought CAPO now for perhaps 7 years straight? Broken and batter, a small core of vets keep trudging forward.
#5: Reign In Hell - Much like TC, just a few mainstays keep RIH going. Not much to say that hasn't been said before.

All in all, I still think the top three are very close, but I have chosen to recognize Fungal’s perseverance and on map progress in my final review. That said, the balance of power is not set and anyone of a few factors (a major retirement/reset, or conversely a major heavyweight getting active or change allegiances) could things shake up.
I'll miss the good times, but those are now long behind us. It’s been a pleasure getting to know many of you, friends and frenemies alike. Too many names to list, but you know who you are.

Finally a TTNews posting that gives an accurate picture of how it is. Who knew you could be fair and not easily manipulated by your past affiliations and committee. You should have done it this way all along.
Despite what #2 (or just 💩) has to say, ask yourselves a couple of questions - why have they purposely avoided every major war over the years, trying to infiltrate most every alliance, and manipulate others through “Diplomacy”. 🙄
Second, even though the #2 💩 alliance tries to convince everybody that 🔥The⌖Commission🔥 is no more, why is it that I and other TC members have had multiple, constant Vs going 24/7 against us for the last 7 years? What aren’t they telling you?
Enough of the bullshit. Enough of the diplomacy. Let’s shut this place down properly with the last major war before the lights go out.
It’s time for us all to Wipe 🧻, #2 💩, off the map, together. One last big all out battle, no diplomacy, just straight up capping frenzy, Funky-style. After all, they’re just colored circles. 🤷🏻🥸

Why shut It down? Get off the islands and fight, , when your running low on areas you jump in a plane and plant over several hundred miles, what a warrior! That’s why is taking so long, getting everyone to take out CAPO, disguises how poor Tc are! And may make you look good for 5 minutes!
