The problem might self correct over time. Report just out that Male Covid survivors are showing a drop in fertility. Guess it hits one more organ that they didn’t know about earlier.
Also new study shows plasma has no impact on survival of seriously ill covid patients...had been wondering about that as Mayo and other large hospitals in early testing of plasma infusion into covid patients from covid survivors had been quiet lately on it.

Happy Thanksgiving.
I’m thankful that the all-cause mortality in 2020 is lower than it was in 2018 according to the CDC.
At first I thought: Huh. All this lockdown for nothing? Then I thought, it’s the lockdown and the masks that saved more lives than COVID took.
Driving less. Drug dealers off the street and going virtual. Fewer people BASE jumping in Mexico. Less likely to get the flu staying home. On and on.
We absolutely did flatten the curve, and much more. My friends and family are doing well. I have a lot to be thankful for today. For those that don’t, I’m sorry. It’s all Viking’s fault.

Well shit as long as you and yours are doing well fuck everyone else right 🙄

We are at 314k COVID-19 deaths in the USA. 3 weeks after Thanksgiving the daily death rate is around 3000 deaths per day. With Christmas and New Year celebrations coming up, January is not looking good.
Viking! Please! You need to put an end to this.

Surpassed 500,000 deaths today.

Yea ? Biden catching Trump quick eh .. so since the deaths prior to Jan 20th are blamed on Trump , Biden gets the ones after . 80k or so in a month😬 will pass Trump in a couple months right ? Now lets discuss , obviously no deaths should be blamed on either correct? Maybe the fools that stuffed covid positive with the elderly homes should be to blame for some because that was just DUMB and imo criminal. Do we really believe that covid has caused all those deaths? I dont . This shit has been politicalized since the start and the numbers are inflated to fuck Trump and scare you. Got fucking fauci saying masks till 2022 and possibly beyond . Enjoy your face diaper . You voted for it 😞

@Vw/Retarded: It seems that you are the one that has politicized this thread. You don’t have to “believe” something in order for it to be true. You seem to have no respect for those who have died due to COVID. In my country, people have empathy for those who have died or suffered, and for their families and friends. We honor those that have died fighting, whether in war or from illness. Show some respect.

I see why you would refer to it as a face diaper with all that shit that comes out of your mouth.

About 655,000 Americans die from heart disease each year—that’s 1 in every 4 deaths.2
Where is your rage on something that could be majorly prevented or controlled?
Not a damn word, because covid is used for a political tool to make the people fear another boogie man so we can throw our freedoms At the boots of authoritarians.

Every year, about 805,000 Americans have a heart attack.
How about mandatory fasting? State order? The ends justifies the means right? I mean your killing grandma when you feed her trash correct?
Let’s lead the effort or stay silent.

I agree. In my practice, we treat diabetes with lifestyle changes, education, and medication. It's a huge effort but it makes a big difference in preventing cardiovascular events and diminishing their effects. But heart disease and diabetes, unlike COVID, are not contagious. Over the past 2 decades, my colleagues have led the effort to reduce deaths from MIs and prevent events. Research and education make all the difference.
If you don't want medical care, don't seek it. But don't deny other people the right to try to remain healthy. Handwashing, wearing a mask, and social distancing has greatly helped to flatten the curve so that the system wouldn't get overwhelmed. Vaccination will lead to immunity. But, if the process moves too slowly, mutated strains will become resistant to vaccines.
I agree with ★ΛUG★. Lead the effort by getting ahead of it and doing your part. Or stay silent.

Well said Al, In my line of work I have daily covid updates and reports for over 50 buildings that have over 1000 employees and as many visitors. I obtain details on reported exposures and confirmed positives. Nearly 100% of the workplace exposures and believed positive workplace illnesses of Covid have been identified as lapses in judgment in following the worksite illness prevention protocols.

Examples: a) carpooling to another site for a function or training in a personal vehicle or company vehicle and a) riding with others you don’t normally work alongside of, failure to maintain adequate distances or ventilation in the vehicle, failure to sanitize the vehicle between each user, failure to use a face covering. B) failure to stay home when sick (it’s just allergies or just a head cold) and failure to maintain social distancing while at work and failure to sanitize frequently touched or shared items between use.
Yes many have not followed the protocols and did not end up covid positive BUT all who are believed to contract covid due to workplace exposure have - go figure. Your diabetes and your obesity doesn’t make me get sick at work.

How do you know where they picked up the virus ? Although I would agree with you AL about “people ought to practice proper hygiene however the mandated part I would disagree with. Do not make it mandatory just like we don’t regulate people on how they go about their health decisions. Masks do not work against this pandemic and that is clear. We have been wearing masks for a whole year yet we see here people complaining about rates of infections vs deaths.
To live life is to take risks, we don’t create mass fear of going to school because there “might” be a school shooting.
We don’t stay home and not get in our cars because we “might” be in an accident.
We don’t stop eating sugar because we might develop insulin resistance and pre type 2-3 diabetes.
If you give government more and more power, all that does is make it harder to have personal freedoms. We need to understand this.

Don’t take me out of context. Obesity is a leading problem than covid. However I see silence on the numbers and complaints from you on changing and or regulation on carb consumption in the food administration.
You can’t control viruses wearing masks also do not work, not even wearing 2 or 3. Stop pretending that you can control something that is inevitable. Live life and don’t try indoctrinate the next generation to fear leaving their homes.

Believe what you want but with the precautions in place and being followed- no positive cases have been identified as of yet for my organization. Yes many did get positive- after visiting others out of town, partying and other activities outside of work- but they were also honest with what they were doing and who they were around & when those persons became informed they were positive

It depends- do you have a right to earn a living? If so do you not have a right to reasonable PPE, protocols and safety practices to prevent work related injury or illness? Yes- some have gone to absurd lengths, others have not gone far enough until they are exposed as leading to employee long term disease or death (asbestos, chemical exposure, exposure to indoor pollutants, lead etc..). It is the same concept. A reasonable effort to protect and prevent illness or injury.

How we identified what most likely lead to infection was a detailed incident report with facts occurring 72 hours prior to exposure, symptoms or confirmed positive. All but 1 had an identifiable event that is a high likelihood of causation- can it be proven- no. But again, prudent and reasonable
