The Iowa caucuses take place tonight and will mark the start of the Democratic primary season.
It will be interesting to see how it pans out over the coming weeks and who will go head to head against Trump.

Remember when betting to read the fine print. A friend of mine bet on trump to win the election but when he went to cash in they wouldn’t pay because he didn’t win the popular vote. Lost out on $10k

Haha this is definitely made up and I’m not not falling for this subtle trap.
They have specific contracts for popular vote and for winning election. There is no fine print. All people who graduated 3rd grade know rules for winning an election.
Anyway markets are more interesting than talking heads, imo. Also the comments on predictit can be hilarious. Everyone thinks they are smarter than the market. Very few are and they definitely are not posting on comment section.

Not surprisingly sanders nom odds took a big hit. Interesting Bloomberg wins more to sanders loss than Pete wins to winning. Markets.

Not sure what happened will have to google but about 5hrs ago markets for Iowa surged in sanders favor. Went from 20% to 68% settling around 60%.
Still very clear it’s a sh**show and basically a toss up.

Honestly, I don’t think this is the same Bernie as the one we saw 4 years ago.
This time around I don’t think he will go quietly and without taking the whole process and DNC down with him.
What’s different? He has the squad with him, experience from last time, and an opponent who is borderline early stages potentially of dementia.
The squad to me is the biggest difference. There are some schools of thought that they forced Pelosi’s hand into pursuing a lose-lose impeachment trial and hearing.
It’s going to be very interesting and also Elizabeth Warren will have Bernies back 100% after she most likely drops out after Tuesday.
Bottom line is Trump 2020 is almost a guaranteed lock as of right now.
People don’t want socialism in the USA...at least informed rational people
It has never worked anywhere successfully and goes in the face of everything this country was built upon. That’s why people risk everything to try and make it here

I despise trump but he’s the only one not trying to take my 2nd amendment rights away. Even weld running against trump as a republican has a history of pushing for assault rifle bans among other bad gun control laws. I could live with any Democrat President so long as they don’t push the tyrannical gun laws on me like they recently tried to do in Virginia.
