So is it down to Biden v Trump?
-
Yeah I’m a dem and I will vote for Trump. He’s an idiot, but his policies up until Coronavirus were pretty solid. Plus Biden is just another career politician. At least Trump is entertaining. Snorting adderall and throwing rich boy tantrums on Twitter in 2020! 😂

Assault rifle bans are a bad thing!!??!!? What the fuck!!!!

About where I’m at as well. Joes gun control policies make me sick to my stomach. Joe is too “ok boomer” to be prez. Gun laws in Cali are already bad enough.I despise trump but he’s the only one not trying to take my 2nd amendment rights away. Even weld running against trump as a republican has a history of pushing for assault rifle bans among other bad gun control laws. I could live with any Democrat President so long as they don’t push the tyrannical gun laws on me like they recently tried to do in Virginia.

Anyone voting for Joe Biden who is running for you know, the thing?

I’ll say it again for the people in the back. Following the 68 Chicago race riots Republicans controlled the White House for 17 of the next 21 years. Middle America doesn’t like riots (shocking) or the people who support them. They’ve already elected Trump in 2020. It’s over.

I still can’t believe people follow him. I’m on Facebook everyday watching my friends spread his lies. It’s like “are you fucking stupid”? This week Antifa is the big enemy, last week Obamagate, week before that was Bill Gates and plandemic. I can’t believe people don’t see this imbecile for what he is. 😂

Can Kayne West get on the ticket or has he missed the window?
Surely he’ll dilute the other two’s voting pool?
Trump still nailed on for the win? -

Ive had pro-trump, anti-maskers in my family DIE because of coronavirus. After all that they still cling to every word that comes out of that manipulative douchebags mouth. He is dangerous and thats evident in how he's handled every aspect of the pandemic. Hell, he called it a hoax for the longest time. If you like trump, i can already guess you consider yourself "woke". Just let it be known, majority of america thinks youre incapable of complex thought.

In America, it doesn't matter how the majority thinks. We use a delegate system when it comes to presidential elections. Generally, this has put Republican candidates at an advantage. Bush did not win the popular vote in his first election, but he won the election. Same for Trump.

Blaming a President or the Feds for COVID-19 is not appropriate. Public Health is a State function, not Federal. Here is a basic outline of the differences between Feds and state and authority of power. It is the United States, not the Controlled States of America.

The reason for an electoral college vs a popular vote process is to ensure each state has adequate representation. A popular vote gives too much power to states with high population over rural states. The residents of Nebraska do not want, and should not have, to live under laws, policy and agendas created by New York.

On a serious note I don’t think our education system did a good job of explaining states rights to people. I find a very small portion of our population understand the difference between state and federal responsibilities

The Feds notes that states were not equipped and not prepared for a pandemic and issued one time funding to states specifically to obtain supplies, update their plans and update local structures in handling pandemics. This was not reoccurring funding. It was a one time only deal. States has the responsibility for maintain and financing after the original funds were used. This was in the early 2000’s. After the recession each state chose through their budget process how they would do this. Many states chose to inadequately fund this and use state finances for other things. The federal admin has stated many times that they will provide assistance but will not be a bailout mechanism for states who chose to neglect their own systems. They have issued the funds to states for the issue. States would not be “rewarded” for mismanagement.

I'm not aware of people "blaming" the president for COVID-19. But, as a leader, he should not be portraying it as a hoax. It is the fed's job to protect our borders (from travelers from endemic areas). It would also be useful for our Fed leaders to make recommendations to state leaders, based on national trends, science, and previous mistakes.
As the Alabama governor (finally) said, wearing a mask to prevent the spread of the virus does not make a person a progressive liberal. The science, and now, the precedence, shows that it helps.

It really is interesting that we politicize the pandemic. The virus doesn't care which party you support. Protecting my family, coworkers, and community doesn't make me a liberal. That's my opinion.

The problem is the media politicizes it. When people were protesting to end lockdowns they were despicable people who wanted us all to die. When they rioted and protested for BLM it was “justified and not likely to cause the virus to spread”. The virus itself doesn’t care about anyone’s wokeness.BigAl! wrote:
