  As a sovereign nation, with complete autonomy and control over its own finances including the north sea gasfields, Scotland would not require subsides from UK/ england.

  If the estimates that there is around 30 years of reserves left, that isn't going to be good for providing ongoing wealth for a sovereign nations future.
