Yes like me Roman. I am a nobody in this game. I would not expect to call out much larger players & think they would “let it slide” just because I am small.
-
It’s a war game and therefore most peeps want to war or at least fight.
Now some peeps out there think it’s a great idea to get noticed by attacking a much larger player.
It usually starts with messages and horse heads. The larger player tries to talk to the other player but to no avail. So the larger player resorts to capping, the other player starts to cuss and then runs to the forums crying that they’re an innocent player that is been bullied.Having new and old players who want to fight is great. That’s how we get our great fighters.
But be sensible and don’t bite off more than you can chew, you will probably get choked! -

In all seriousness though, as long as we’re talking about this, let’s talk about this civilly and as a learning exp for those who have not had the pleasure of interacting and working with you or the displeasure of working against you.
I think we can all agree that despite the ever ongoing battle to prevent it from becoming a hug fest, TW is a fighting game. Additionally along with battling the game changing into a hug fest, we are also battling attrition of veterans and an abysmal volume of new blood, with a shocking low retention number of those new players. -
So let’s not beat around the bush but instead take the current situation as an example. I am being very serious now and not sarcastic in the least. YES, it does happen occasionally.
Here we have a situation where a group of noobs, being mentored by some vets has a run in with another noob group who is being mentored by another vet (that’s you 😜). There is discussions about something or other in a shared discord room, the subject matter of which is irrelevant I believe. (If I’m wrong about that please feel free to correct me).
As things start to heat up, both sides start with name calling and inevitably you jump in and ultimately get pissed off due to them responding to you in ways you feel are not respectful.
I am all about diplomacy and tact but it’s a learned skill and far easier to grasp when you have the firepower to back it up if things go south. What is a noob supposed to do when in that situation? He feels he’s being verbally attacked by a larger player, he can’t respond on the map. -

I’m currently helping out 9 families so there’s plenty of peeps playing.
This will never be a turf hugs game. -
If he does t respond verbally, how is he supposed to make his points known.
Now let’s assume the noob has over stepped his bounds, is an unrcontionable ball buster (not the case in this situation but let’s just go with it anyway). You feel like he deserves to get smacked around for his infractions of disrespecting you. May or may not be everyone’s style of play but who gives a shit. We’re talking about your individual style of play. You start your impression of Sherman’s march to the sea, laying waste to everything in sight. While this gives you tremendous satisfaction as you think you are righting a wrong, can you step back and see it from the other end. With no real warring exp. a group of noobs they’re trying to protect and everything they’ve worked for so far gone in 24 hrs, what do you think the response would be? It’s a double edged sword. If they try and fight, they get slaughtered and prolong the carnage. If they try talking about it, they get shot down or ignored... -
Or told if they keep talking it’s only going to prolong the beating.
If they do nothing at all, they still lose everything AND you’ve done the exact opposite of what you stated earlier, which is make new fighters.
This isn’t necessarily me condoning your actions. Do I personally think they should be tempered, sure but that’s MY personal opinion and means jack shit to anyone else style of game play. Honestly, I’m just looking to create insight and discussion into how to successfully avoid and/or resolve conflicts in your opinion. I think it would be extremely helpful to many in the community and may even clear up some misconceptions about you, despite your claims of not caring either way.
Just for the record, I think your swell...most of the time. But not like mr. robot does 😍. -
If someone wants to act big and clever and jump off the porch straight into a station wagon, who am I to stop them.
I’ll run them over while stamping on the gas.
If they want to do the same thing again as soon as they get out of the hospital. 🤷♂️
I’ll stamp on the gas again. 🤷♂️ -
Does anyone else that’s that big of a player pick on noobs? Really I couldn’t imagine any other 50k+ mob acting as childish as JM does.

As long as the player isn’t collaborating with enemy crews I can’t imagine a 110k mob being bothered by a couple horse heads thrown at him by some noobs because he was acting like a wanker

Depends on the timing. And HH can cost active players money on DP. (No, not that kinda DP, Saba, you dirty old man.) Plus, in JM’s defense, when someone’s bored and looking for a reason to war, HH are as good a reason as anything to cap. However, being balanced, when I was active, I always would give smaller players an out if they wanted one. I also reached out to bigger players who beat on me and worked things out, and I knew if I cursed people, I could expect to get smashed. Bottom line: We all need to be a little diplomatic, accept being capped, or muscle up & make allies large enough to fight back. There’s really no other options except giving up and resetting.

👋🏻 I cap and attack noobs. I dont really hunt them down though, im too busy in RL for that shit. 20-50miles is an acceptable jump to cap a noob.Does anyone else that’s that big of a player pick on noobs? Really I couldn’t imagine any other 50k+ mob acting as childish as JM does.

Hh’s dont really affect JM or any fighter. Not unless you burn through a great number of them. And then they will wait you out and get you anyways.

And noob loot is delicious 🤤

This is clearly a divisive issue. It is a war game and a certain amount of that should be expected. However, when you are a noob with limited resources, getting fucked over is a problem - and obviously bleeds users, stagnating the community. The biggest problem here is that small user base = small ROI for the game developers. This leads to stagnation in development. Perhaps there’s a software solution to this problem. The biggest factor in how fucked over you get and by whom is mob size. If that playing field was levelled a bit, perhaps we’d have a fairer and more exciting war game.
-
I dont think adjusting mob sizes is an answer. Most dedicated players do t want to see their hard work be for naught because others whined about it. And there is already a system in place that will allow smaller players to fight and compete with larger players through the use of vendettas. Outside of that i guess there could be a strong class or level based system where only simularly sized mobs could interact or see each other in the map. Noobs wouldnt be able to see or mess with veterans and vice versa. Maybe seperate maps for different groups of levels 0-50, 51-100, 100-200? 🤷🏼♂️
-
The player would have to prestige or something, they couldnt stay there and continue to pic on new people joining.
-
Yeah, simply cutting mob would be a bad idea. It’s more a case of changing the maths behind what all the numbers mean.
-
if it were to happen i think a seperation would be better. not messing with the strength or weakness of a player. what a player has done to their profile , they have earned one way or another. i wouldn't take away from that. and i wouldn't boost a weaker player just because they are whining. you still have to earn your spot. no short cuts. but a stronger seperation between the levels might be ok. i never understood noobs wanting to tangle with vets anyway. or vice versa. usually it boils down to inexperience or someone stumbling into a situation and then running their mouth. this could be controlled by not letting them interact to begin with. on the other hand... if a noob is put through the fire so to speak and they stick around i believe they come out the other side a better fighter and over all better player. those that quit, the game wasn't for them. better they quit early than get in the middle of a battle and someone is depending on them and they drop mid fight because they can't handle it.
-
this might also fix the mule issue. no longer would you be able to create a new mule and load it down with turf to exploit fighting the vets. they would have to go through the first couple prestige levels before being on the same map as the vets. you could work on your profile, increase your mob, skills and TL but when you reach a certain level you automaticlly move on to the next map fresh, ready to start spreading out and fighting with the next level of players. this way noobs don't interact with vets at all. and vets can't pick on or abuse noobs. by the time the noobs make it to that level they have built up their profiles and have some experience under their belt.

I like this idea of map layers for turfs based on your mob size etc. It would be interesting for the battles and gains and losses in the levels above and below you to either strengthen or weaken the map later you are on.To use JM for example. If he's owning it on his level but his mafia family members in lower levels arenly holding ...
-
Their own, then it could negatively affect him.
On the other hand, say JM is tied up with multiple V's and is treading water and his family members in lower levels start winning and gaining, he could see a boost or strengthening at his level.
That ties the results of what goes on at lower levels to the higher levels and vice versa.
Now all of the sudden the little folks matter. And JMs work matters more. And the same goes for him. There work matters to him. He can't just go it all alone.Good idea Deicide!!
-
Another reason I like Deicides idea is it makes the families even more important and hopefully it can stop some of the lone ranger I can do it by myself mentality.
I'm not knocking JM, but he can basically do whatever at will as it stands.
I think I'd be hoot to see little Mobsters just starting out fighting it out and what they did affect the bigger guys.
Thing our results together would build community.
I think community for the most part is what a lot of folks are here for. The fighting is fun for some, less for others, but the friends and cheering other on would be what you'd miss the most of the game stopped tomorrow.
