The list of things you can do with a JB iPhone is so long....those who have problems and are ney sayers just don't know what they are doing. Long live the JB ✊

Look, I'm not saying there aren't some cool things you can do when you stability-break your phone. For some I would say go for it. But I get the feeling that Belial is like me and would rather play it safe than break what Apple made for us. I get the feeling he's like me in that none of the "cool" tweaks are actually worth the hassle.
I already have a 4G hotspot. I have an iPhone 4, and all of the apps I care about fit in 6 folders all on the front page. I only use 3 springboard icons. I have 2 apple Bluetooth keyboards, and I happen to like the almost perfect "skin" the phone comes with, and multitasking works great.
Me personally, I have zero need to do it. And cool! I upgrade the OS on day one! Not a brick in sight.

Long live tinkering.

I'm jelous of those keyboards. Im with you brown. I decided against it. At least until I get my next device which will be soon. I'm going to upgrade the os tonight tho. At least I'll be ready for a keyboard

Who knows. They might add keyboard support in 4.2.1.

iPod touch 2g and iPhone 3G don't have Bluetooth keyboard support. Maybe only with apples keyboards but from what I read, it doesn't have support for any keyboards. If your on 3.1.2 or 3.1.3, look up spiritjb.comSatanium wrote:

Turn Bluetooth off and I gotta pair everything again
Turn Wi-Fi off and internet's slower
Turn 3G off and Pandora and this game becomes even slower
Turn Data off and this phone is useless
Tune down brightness and I can't see the screen -

No, you don't.
Turn Wi-Fi off and internet's slower
You don't turn wifi off if you need it. You turn wifi off when you are not in range of any wifi to save battery.
Turn 3G off and Pandora and this game becomes even slower
You don't turn 3g off when you need it. There are still a lot of rural areas with no 3g coverage, and by turning it off, you save battery.
Turn Data off and this phone is useless
Same as 3g. Don't need data? Turn it off. Save battery. And the phone is far from useless as data is not required or necessary for phone calls.
Tune down brightness and I can't see the screen
Well than don't turn it down so far, dumbass.

Ok so don't jb then, your argument is --> I don't need to jb and you shouldn't either. I have had every generation of iPhone and jb'n dozens for friends and fam. If your afraid of "breaking" something don't do it, just don't tell people not to. Before my first attempt at a JB I learned all I could. Just do your homework people. Once you JB and do it right you won't go stock ever again.
-
LOL @ CC, sbsettings should come standard on everyphone! Charlie checkout myOs, has a few items you can hide. It's a little redundant and alot like hiding icons thru sb, but I like it. Specially deleting my dumb contacts, stocks and voice memo from my board!

And I had a perfectly jailbroken iPhone. I just thought the stuff you "need" is gay. I dumped it. So you have fun with that. Meanwhile, I have the latest OS release that wakes me up in the morning at the correct time. Do you?

I'd care more about the convenience of keeping them on all day and forgetting they're on, rather than making my phone look pretty and managing battery all the time. That superlong comment with a lot of quotes
And my car's Bluetooth Audio needs to be paired every time Bluetooth is either off or reset. And keeping data on all day showed no difference against the airplane mode when my phone is not JB'd. It showed a difference from 4 hours to 6 in idle when it was JB'd.
Obviously the JB is giving the illusion that turning off crap you don't need will save battery life. Only true for background apps. All features on, which are BT, GPS, WiFi, 3G, Alarm, Push, and half brightness gives me a good 10 hours total in battery without JB.
Functionality over looks.

Now you hurt my feelings 🙍....Like I said some people(or kids in your case)

I got all the functionality without changing any of the looks. JB just makes it a little more convenient for those of us that want more control. SBSettings adds the convenience a single tap to access all the above mentioned settings.
JB does NOT suck battery life. How you set up your phone determines how your battery is affected. JB just makes it more convenient for those that want to access the settings.
And spend some money on a decent BT system for your car. Or at the very least, install it correctly. It should never need re-pairing.
