Mob Growth
Forums › General Discussion › Mob Growth-
Mob growth is 5x slower than it used to be, but by any means still very feasible to break 800 in your first week playing, it is all dedication really.
However, I believe a new invite system is mandatory in order to draw in and keep new members playing. Those who have the drive to punch 1000s of a week should be rewarded, rather than seeing +100 mob after punching 1000+ codes.
Since no one really ever declines mob invites (Past and Present), i never understood why an auto accept system was never put in place.
Would be much easier for new plays to feel safer and more valuable to the game if they could punch 1000 codes and say in 2 weeks, all 1k or even if 65% were auto accepted.
-
In addition, I believe this would bring back more of that competitive drive, bringing about more wars and more activity overall.
I know this idea was already introduced prior, figured i would rehash it with my own personal twist/thoughts.

I would easily punch 5k a day if they were auto accepted.

In fact, this game is completely unbalanced. It's based on levels - based on experience. But then in the rankings it's about (turf) influence. And then in terms of stealing turf and fighting it's all about the number of mobsters. This doesn't make sense at all. And it's no fun to copy paste names all day - other people get paid for that at work!
The gameplay with turfs and turf stealing and becoming bigger and bigger is great, but it should be based on your level and stats, not on a mob. And there should be effective ways to save your turfs. Because after all, the influence and your level decide nothing when a 9000mobplayer steals all your turfs.

obviously always remain the bigger players. But it will give the new guys an actual chance to enjoy the game. 80% of the cant cap anyone for the most part. -

I disagree, basing it off influence is dumb. Anyone could spend $200 and increase their turf limit to 300+ turfs. Wouldnt make any sense really. In fact, this game is completely unbalanced. Yup. I’d punch all historic codes. It’s not really worth it the way it is now.I would easily punch 5k a day if they were auto accepted.

I’m sure Midnite used to pay someone to punch codes back in the day ...
-
In my prime I could punch 1500/hr not that I ever had much time to punch. And now they changed they way it works so I’m slower anyways. Punching codes use to be my favorite part of the game though.

Now with the new baby here I doubt I could sit and get any reasonable punching done

Interesting point of view Grue.
No matter how long someone has played, new or old, occassional or frequent, everyone has an opinion on this topic.
With the downturn in the availability of positive mob growth, perhaps some sort of incentive of auto-accept, or a percentage thereof, would be enough to keep new players longer and reinvigorate established players.Reward for effort of punching is certainly an area of improvement and a possible avenue for fresh impetuous.

Agreed DML, feel like a fair amount of new players give up because they dont stand a chance against the oldies so its harder for them to really succeed.Interesting point of view Grue.

I don’t think they are suppose to stand a chance. I didn’t when I started. Who did? I either fought people my size or got my ass kicked trying. The more I got beat the harder I tried. What you have is people not willing to try and put in the time. Win or lose fighting is fun. People get discourage too easy. I got mad, bought a keyboard and made friends.

noobs shouldn’t just jump in the game and pick a fight with a vet. And if they do, getting their ass kicked is appropriate. Don’t whine. That’s like me challenging Lebron James to a match of 21 and then saying it’s unfair when he beats my ass. Lets make it fair lol. In clash royal do you see a lvl 1 vs a lvl 13?? Hell no. And even if it were possible who would listen to the lvl 1 whine?
-
I’m not sure why ppl expect tw to be any different. The only difference I really see is tw allows a noob to pick that fight and allows the vet to beat their ass. I’m not really against it. It’s a system that weeds out those that are not serious or committed to this type of game play.

That being said I would like to see the number of new signups increase again.

A couple ads and everything will be back to normal. This game came out before its time in opinion. If this game was released last year, it wouldve been a hit. Look at Pokemon Go. Everyone was shitting bricks over the favt that it was a real time GPS game. All this game needs is some ads and it will regain popularity. That being said I would like to see the number of new signups increase again.

Dont get me wrong, I agree 100%. The TW food chain will always exist. However, back in 2010-2012 when TW was at its best, mob was easy to grow. 2010-12 could easily gain around 1k mob a month, now youre lucky if you get 400-500 a month. But, by any means i do agree with your argument!I don’t think they are suppose to stand a chance. I didn’t when I started. Who did? I either fought people my size or got my ass kicked trying. Spot on. I’ve already offered my similar opinion this too many times but yes, you are correct. Game play should reward the player and incentivize more in-game play not silly external code sites.

The imbalance that you speak of the is actually a feature for me. It makes the game multidimensional and allows us to adjust our gaming style according to what suits us at the moment. We can fight, or we can work on our profile, or we can hop or we can just lay back and punch codes. Being able to switch focus but still be involved in the game has been what keeps me coming back and I’ve changed many times depending on what’s going in RL.

Totally agree, i think the game is totally balanced. Only rough edge/difficulty that remains is mob growth. you can punch 20k codes and and will barely break the 1.5k mob stretch. The imbalance that you speak of the is actually a feature for me. I think with the current amount of people left in the game it is mandatory to create some sort auto invite system. As a whole it will benefit everyone, large and small mob players. I think with that it will definitely increase activity and life in the game.

Or Nick could say fuck it, I made my money and let the game just fade away.

Ok let’s get real here. Grue, you have turf dating back four years. If you had punched codes regularly during those four years, you would have a decent mob now. Hard to have any sympathy for your ideas here.

I just know many low, new players struggle with getting capped bc they have no family and no mob.
