They tried to introduce legislation that if someone was on a watch list they could present it to a judge and let him decide just like you would a warrant. It was rejected by the dems saying it wasn't tough enough. They want anyone on a watch list banned.Let's say anyone on a watchlist wouldn't be allowed to buy a gun. Who would be in charge of making the decision to place someone on a watch list?
The government?
Psychologists appointed by the government?Sounds like an easy way to deny anyone their constitutional rights...

😂 Govt is nothing more than collective action in and of itself. So your statement is kind of irrelevantmathamatics wrote: ⚔
Awesome. Let's legislate that. Wait... collective action impossible without government. Warning. Warning. Error.As for how you chose to get offended by something you read in a video game, I'm sorry you feel that way. you said you work in the U.S. govt so unfortunately your actions are more proof that the govt cannot help. Let me help you understand what I was saying though.
When you focus on family, you can gain real values. You learn skills, you grow up. As you grow both physically and more importantly mentally you are able to help others as you help others it spreads to others helping others. Families have been slowly degraded over the past years to the point where society in general is suffering.

The way to fix it it to go back to family values, raise your children in a way that they will be able to help others, and understand right from wrong, and spread.
One person can make a change you don't need someone else to tell you what to do.
Everywhere that family is important there are less problems.

@Brown Note
I was being sarcastic, but probably not clear. What I meant is that society is quick to blame groups (priests, transgenders, gays, Muslims, gun owners, parents) for the acts of socially or mentally ill individuals. This individual claimed to kill in the name of ISIS. But likely had no specific ties to ISIS. His father did not bring him up with violence, but he clearly had violent tendencies before this occurrence. Coworkers knew he was crazy. Point is.... it's a very complicated problem that does not have a simple solution. Both political sides are right, and yet neither party's solutions will solve the domestic terrorism problem.
Not all gun owners are killers. Not all killers are gun owners. Some Muslims are gay. Some Muslims hate gays. So what do we do? Ban guns? Ban Muslims? Ban gays? Ban gay hating Muslims with guns? -
The guy in Orlando claimed he was a part of 4 different groups in his 911 call, and 3 of the 4 are in conflict with each other. This guy was just another psycho with a gun. I firmly believe that guns shouldn't be easier to get than a license. I would think that would be common sense.

But again, what does this hallmark card fantasy of rebuilding family values have to do with this particular shooter? The values his family gave him contributed to his behavior. I haven't seen any evidence that his Father didn't pass down the gay-hating traditional Taliban family value to him directly. Any family that would stone their daughter to death for choosing a man not pre-arranged to her certainly cares about family values more than you can imagine.
Exactly which set of "family values" are you thinking of?

@Big Gay Al
(Sorry, I just like South Park lots.. And its vaguely appropriate in this discussion... Nothing personal :)I agree. The problem of terrorism or nut-balls won't be solved by the "opposing" ideas of congress. But it's a lot of fun to run around in circles getting all excited about our believies.
I just get all worked up after a long night of pouring through page after page of online public stoning videos. Tonight I'll take a break and do hangings and beheadings, and then in a few days after I've calmed down, get back to little girls getting their clits shaved off while their families hold them down.
Then I'll be right back here, bitching about police "brutality", and the 1%.
