Figure Nick would say something??

Nick did nothing when the other two big sites (turfwarsdb.com and mobcode.com) with a lot of followers closed. He should have thought about this and try to help these guys a bit to keep their sites running. Now what? This could be another nail on the games coffin.
We all love this game, but after all we are clients in the TW busines and basically we shouldn't be the ones to fund the feeder of the mothership...The game's site provides the temp codes and the newbs will be ok with them to grow and play their league, but what about the ones 40-50k and up who spend a lot in the game and aim higher?
Fugetaboutit...

It would be cool if nick made us our own website. It could be tied to our accounts and automatically check off codes of players that have added us or that we punched in the past.

Tell havoc to buy it!

How much would ICM cost to run? The turf wars part of it anyway?

Depending on how much traffic the site has would depend on the running costs.
-
What we talking? Hundreds of dollars a month or something? I really have no idea.
-
More like dozens of dollars a month I would think.

If that's true, there is enough of us to spend a little and keep it running. I would be up to donate to keep the codes coming.More like dozens of dollars a month I would think.

I'm interested in setting up a code site. It sounds like a fun project. The only painful part is that people will probably have to start from scratch. Maybe a BC-AD change over... New codes and temps only... Historic codes for reference only? Hmmmm...
-
Buying a domain would not take much but running a server for it would be pricy. With services available, it wouldn't be hard to create another ICM,
From what it sounds like, the cost of management is what is what's running icm under

Thank you for your message. We're following the situation with invitecodematrix, and will ensure the temp codes are available if that site goes down.

I have created a code database. The web site is underway.
So far:
Users and codes have up votes and down votes.
Each code is tracked with who added it, when, and the vote score.
Each user has a table of punched codes.
The site will manage user accounts, provide an interface to add codes, and a "punching" interface with a sortable / filtered view of codes where users can mark codes already punched.
Simple and stable is the order of the day. Simple before pretty.
Temp codes can be added to the system if Nick allows me.
If you have any suggestions, now's the time. :)

May I suggest selectable text size for those old guys and gals around here...coughm00sekillcough

I started out using this site before going to icm http://www.turfwarsmob.com/index.php

Like on ICM- The ability to "copy" a page full of plain text codes only so you can paste them in notes and print out a page of codes without all the "website clutter" printing out.I have created a code database. The web site is underway.

Oh yeah... A code bump system like ICM would be great too - to encourage people to seek out new codes and add them to the site.
