Since my wife, brother in law and father in law were in the Navy. I'd go with the Navy.
My wife says go Air Force because they do their pt on a treadmill wearing sneakers instead of doing a 15 mile hike in combat boots wearing a 50lb backpack. -
I never regretted joining the Navy. My Brother will say the same thing about the Air Force. Work hard, get school, get out, get more school, and get a good job.

I think that you insulting heartbreak would constitute the use of the term hijack. Since I'm pretty sure your intent with that comment would be to change the subject to one of your choosing. However I understand if someone of your caliber and inconsequential status in life probably has in essence a to put it lightly "sub par" education so it's my humble observation that you trying to act like you have even a minute understanding of some of the words I've used in this comment and in my previous one is simply a facade. So please don't try and tell someone who's clearly better read and educated than you that there vocabulary is poor. Thanks

I would try and do something that could be useful for another job once your out of service. Ex. IT guy for navy. And then make it ur job afterwards. And navy over Chairforce

Have you thought about just attending college for 4 years or more?? I mean would you really want to give the government, complete "say-so" over your life for the next 4 years or more?

After 22 years in the Army (and having worked with all branches), the Air Force always presented itself as the most tech advanced with easily transferable skills to the civilian market. Navy's not bad though. Depends on what you want out of your military experience.
-
Go Navy!! You have a chance to promote to the next rank faster which means more money in your pocket. There are also fantastic jobs in cryptology and intelligence that can lead to good work on the outside. Do you like electronics?
-
I'm not sure. One of my family member was a navy seal. But he first wanted to go to the air force. Some guy beat him, but this guy had a lower SAT score than him.

You can either join the military or you can join the Air Force. Can't do both. 😝

If you want a cush life then by all means join the Chair Force. There's nothing wrong it. Just don't be that punk at the bar talking shit like you compare at all to people who put 100+ pounds on their back to go into harms way, losing their friends, and learning something about sacrifice.

The air force does go into war. Sure, they're not infantry, but most of the army never sees battle either.oldironii wrote:

Alright ladies and gents. Every single branch of military goes to war alright. Yes some more than others but that's not the point. Yes we have our rivalries an nitpick at eachother but we are all in it together. All services are good. Ok? 😉
-
Guys this guy just wants his advice on joining the freaking military. Show him some respect please
-
Yer DON'T do it .
Why would you want to go to war and kill someone ???
-
Go Marines... End of discussion.
-
The most important decision you'll make joining the military will be choosing your MOS (Military Occupational Specialty). Many of these can give you experience you can use outside in the civilian world. Many recruiters are liars and will try to shove you into one to meet their quotas. Do your research and know what you want to do for a career and demand what you want in a contract. If they try to steer you into anything you don't want, and saying you'll get it after Basic Training, walk out the door and find another recruiter. Always think of it as a career rather than an adventure.
I was fortunate to have a very close friend who was a CW5 and kept me from being duped into a job I didn't want.
-
Why not just go for the career you want ? Instead of going in the forces for that career ??
No risk of getting killed. Don't have to leave your family.

Don't do it , your government don't give a toss about you. They will use you as a pawn
