Dear Ferguson
Forums › General Discussion › Dear Ferguson-
Change the blanket term "teen girl" to "very large / heavy 18 year old girl" stole something from a store and charged down a small / light armed cop with the intent of bodily harm. He wasn't a normally sized dude, he was a bigger guy, and the cop is significantly lighter and smaller. Draw the comparison fairly at least - if a little white girl charged a cop, there would be no need to use force like what would be necessary for a scenario like the Ferguson shooting... Make your judgement fairly, it's not like he'd go straight for his gun in every scenario. Does race have a part in it? Maybe, we can't know for sure. But you better fucking believe that stature / physical characteristics such as weight and height / intent to harm caused the shooting primarily, first and foremost.

Let's say it was a white girl. She still would have been wrong for attacking a police officer, and if she got shot for it, she deserved it. And no cities would have burned.

Some people are special. They invented a hover board off funds from kick starter this year. Bill and Melinda Gates have spent 30 billion dollars this year on disease research. Has it ever occurred to you that maybe you just can't see that some human life is special? Maybe the everyone gets a trophy thing has made you think it's either or.

He is only human, he's not a white supremacist he was a police officer who just wanted to not die. What was he supposed to do? Let Brown take his gun and kill him? Let him charge him and tackle him to the ground and beat him to death? Let him beat him through his police car window? I know I'd shoot any 300 Ib person charging me, knowing they would beat me to death...They can't see past the tips of their own privileged noses. If it was a white young man who--or better yet for the purposes of illustrating the point--a white teen girl who was MURDERED FOR SHOPLIFTING it wouldn't be so ridiculous.
That is about the most ignorant comparison I've seen drawn yet.

Has anyone taken history into account? Were our slave owning forefathers considered thugs in 1776? Was it a gang of thugs in Boston having a tea party and throwing the loot overboard? No. Of course not. They were tired of being under foot so they rebeled. Who gets to judge what a revolution is?
You? Or the powers that be?
History says the latter. -

Hey, remember in TTN when you were talking about how you and your friends ride around town throwing bottles out the window of your cars at people? That's assault, genius. Are you prepared to die for that? Of course not, because you're a teen who doesn't think through his actions. Like Michael Brown.
😂😂😂 not what was said but, OK. I wish i could show you me rolling my eyes. What I said was one of my friends got in trouble for driving by a sitting police car and shooting a bottle rocket at it.

That's one disorganized revolution ,when you're attacking your own. If you want to be mad at some one be mad at those that influenced Brown to be the way he is. Hood mentality is that if you don't act like an idiot thug or have done jail time you have no street cred. That if you speak well and you get educated you're trying to be white. I can guarantee you that Educated members of the community will not participate in this "Revolution".Has anyone taken history into account? Were our slave owning forefathers considered thugs in 1776? Not for nothing, but police using undue, fatal violence towards black people is nothing new. Have you heard J Cole's song "Crooked Smile?" It's dedicated to Aiyana Stanley-Jones, a seven year old girl killed by cops in her own home.

Separating fact and fiction: Officer Wilson was not a "Tiny" guy. He's 6 foot 4 inches and 210 lbs. That's about the average size of an NFL Safety or Quarterback. Michael Brown was the same height, but close to 300 pounds, or about the size of an NFL Tackle.

Separating fact and fiction: Police Officers are trained in various methods used to take down criminals. The tools at Wilson's disposal were bare hands, mace, baton, and gun. He didn't carry a taser. They were in close quarters, so mace is out. Baton, too. He already got his ass kicked with his bare hands. That leaves gun. He was being attacked while in his car. He shot twice from his car. Hit Brown at least once. All before the final street confrontation. You don't de-escalate without having the situation under control (i.e. cuffs)

Michael Brown committed a crime, yes. Wilson had every right under the sun to defend himself. I personally believe that the degree of his reaction was uncalled for, and in my eyes, he should have been punished for that.
Am I incorrect in thinking that all police officers are trained for situations such as that? I always assumed that lethal force was a last resort... -

You are right. Why? Because of 2 people. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. They go around and incite people to protests whenever there is a white vs black situation that they think has the best potential to cause riots. Luckily they are getting old and will die soon. They don't try to fix racism, they cause racism. Nobody heard about Trayvon Martin until they showed up. Nobody heard about Michael Brown until they showed up. There are many instances of white on black crime and black on white crime, and they all go unnoticed until these two assholes show up.I honestly believe if the cop was black nd the guy shot was white no one would hear about this at all! There are some good cops serving to protect us. They know how to talk to people and approach a situation to Calm things down. But the problem is when you have officers who carry a arrogance about themselves. They have a I'm a cop and you will listen and do what I say and close lines of communication with the indaviduals which increases hostility. When some people get a gun it gives them a pair of brass ones that they normally wouldn't have(civilians and police).Putting them in situations they wouldn't normally allow themselves in. Police also have a wonderful way of making you resist arrest or accuse you of not following directions. Twisting you in a way your body doesn't go if you flinch enjoy a knee in your neck. Spread your legs not wide enough will get them knocked out from under you and pushed to your knees. Having your hands placed on the hood of a hot cruiser will get you a face plant on said hood. Again not all cops are like this but it happens on a regular basis.

Back when someone was killed, it used to be common for a city to hold a funeral and thousands to show up. Now we have school shootings that are considered normal and we take violence for granted. I can't argue for either side, but this "simple act of defense" left an 18 year old with a clip in his chest. I don't care if you're black or white, that's wrong and something should be done, but looting makes the problem even worse.I honestly believe if the cop was black nd the guy shot was white no one would hear about this attt allllll!!!!!!!!!!!
