Copied from snopes:
The Lifeline program originated in 1984, during the administration of Ronald Reagan; it was expanded in 1996, during the administration of Bill Clinton; and its first cellular provider service (SafeLink Wireless) was launched by TracFone in 2008, during the administration of George W. Bush. All of these milestones were passed prior to the advent of the Obama administration.Read more at http://www.snopes.com/politics/taxes/cellphone.asp#dWvsPYeXbuTScZHu.99

If it's happening in one town, I'd bet the farm it is in others

Your a naive fool if you think it's not happening all over the country

Welfare rewards people for being lazy. That's why you have people on it from cradle to grave and multiple generations. Soon there will be more people on welfare than are working.
You, my friend, need to read some facts. That doesn't happen anymore. The majority of states has a time limit on how long you can get cash assistance. They also don't increase the amount of assistance that you get when you have more children after the third child, since I'm sure that "having babies to get money" was going to be the next false rhetorical bullshit you threw out.

I can hand pick 5 such family's in my small town of 4k. My girlfriends neighbor lives for free (doesn't pay rent) gets food stamps, drastically reduced utilities, also gets SSI check every month for the rest of his drug crazed life, why? Because he says he can't read or write...when told that he can be taught no charge his reply was "why would I do that?, I'd lose my free money" yet he can sleep all day, party all night and father 7 kids with 5 different women, and guess what? They are all on welfare now too. I get to see this daily, it's been reported multiple times with no result. By the way there is nothing physically wrong with any of them
That didn't happen. It is crazy hard to get SSI, even if you need it. No one is getting SSI simply because they can't read.

I'm sorry, but you can't possibly look around your neighborhood and see who is qualified to get SSI. You can't SEE mental illness, intellectual illness, many physical diseases in early stages....

And that isn't possible.
You can keep saying it is, but you're wrong. There are legal caps in place for cash assistance. -

Because it's easier to make vague, rhetorical (false) statements than provide fact. This isn't an opinion, dude. You can keep arguing with the data I'm providing, but you'll still be wrong.

A woman up the road has diabetes and most of her foot removed. It has been four years and she still hasn't been approved.

Btw- the chapter telling you about the time limits in each state starts on page 9. I'm sure you won't read it because you'd rather regurgitate some more Ann Coulter bullshit :)
-
In addition, only half of welfare recipients are even on welfare for the entire allotted time limit. That's on page 25.

The contractor on that report has been accused of falsifying data before. From the Washington post....
Generally left unsaid amid all the citations is that the Lewin Group is wholly owned by UnitedHealth Group, one of the nation's largest insurers.
More specifically, the Lewin Group is part of Ingenix, a UnitedHealth subsidiary that was accused by the New York attorney general and the American Medical Association of helping insurers shift medical expenses to consumers by distributing skewed data. Ingenix supplied UnitedHealth and other insurers with data that allegedly understated the "reasonable and customary" doctor fees that insurers use to determine how much they will reimburse consumers for out-of-network care.

But, still don't see what this has to do with drug testing employees and welfare recieptiants. I shouldn't have to pay for anybody's drugs and if I have to stand in line at the dmv then the person helping me shouldn't be on drugs. What's there to argue about?

Well, if you had read the whole thread you would know that it wasn't posted in response to that question. It was posted after the welfare queen who lives on welfare for life myth was paraded out.
It's not true. And he may have falsified some things- it's possible- but he didn't falsify state laws. 35 use states have time limits to welfare. Those limits were put in place by--- wait for it---- Bill Clinton. -

The thing that has to be argued about is whether we want states to hemhorage money for something that is statistically not fucking happening.

Well, I know my own father was on welfare for 25 years before he died. We received every benefit he could sign us up for. He was suppose to be disabled, but he would go work on rigs and use my SSN so he didn't get caught. We owned a 180 acre ranch with my grandmother who was on SSI as well. I bet 1000 cows were sold under my name before I was 10. My little sister has received every form of welfare for the last 15 years. She doesn't get cash, but just traded food she gets with SNAP for them.
-
She lives in the projects with her 3 kids and pays $4 a month for rent and utilities. She's a perfectly able bodied 25 year old that could work if she wanted to. But once she starts working, she loses the assistance. She makes more by not working.
-
Nice anecdata. Serves me right for trying to argue with facts and logic when talking to a tea bagger, or whatever.
