  Ok, so, i have paused cause i have been watching others thoughts, as well as doing some thought on how i see it. First off, the soul is ones being, like i have said, it is our core, and (hopefully) our hope. It is in essence part our conscience. If one was to injure, lets say the frontal cortex, the world regards us "different", or disabled. I look at it different, it is not a "disablity", but a challenge. Now, i look at the aspect as a Guide (one of my best friends is Blind), and, i do not see any "disablity"

  , but rather a challenge. Now, if ones persona gets changed through injury, it is an individual challenge to overcome. One soul was not hurt in that incedent. Now, how one can damage their soul is disregarding the moral balence i have talked about, the conscience. I will not angle this religously (though i am), but, from personal thought and observation. From physical "challenge" (disablity), one can strengthen who, and what they are, those able to do MORE the the average abled body. So physical injury does not damage the core. But, when one overrides the moral balence, and does that which we know is wrong, then we change who we are. Think of it this way, you see the person from school, top student, graduated with honours, take the road with drugs, all of a sudden we don't see that person, but broken peices of a life.

  So, the conscience was damaged. That is the bulk part of the soul. Now, animals, i will touch and go on, the have "self awareness", which is a preresiqite for a life, but, does not mean (and i have facts going either way, please take that in consideration) that they have or have not a soul. It mearly means that they are alive. Now twins develope differnt personas, as like differnt likes, actions, ect. They each have a seperate soul. Now, the hard question is clones. Do they have a soul if being a human clone? Yes, the clone may share the same DNA as the original, but are their moral balence and conscience the same?

  Time would tell. Lets take for exsample if one was to clone Hitler, would he be the same dictator just because the clone has the same DNA? Don't know, but i don't think so. Final little thing, then you all hash it out, where does a soul come from? Now, without inserting my faith, each person is an "individual", so would it not make sence for that to of not been a "recycled" soul? Each person is differnt, veiws things different, talks and acts different. So we are all unique. And, like it has been said, about "near death" experances, there is something after this life. Why would some be able to describe some of the things that they do, if there was just blackness after? Each has to press to find where the want that hope i talk about, and will be accountable for how they persued that hope. Without inserting my Faith in that, that is the best way to discribe after life. Be interested to see what you alls thougths on all of this is.

  You aren't looking at your viewpoints from afar. You say the "soul" can only be hurt by going against morals....who's morals? For some it's "immoral" to stone a child or women to death, for others it's perfectly moral. So which morals hurts the soul?
  As for the "near death experiences" those can be easily explained. When a person is near death, the brain releases mass amounts of chemicals to ease the person. Hence why people loose feeling when they are close to death. The mind is in overdrive with "happy drugs" and cause hallucinations as you pass. Now, since the "white light" is so engraved into society. The mind creates that for some (not all) mainly believers of that faith. To give a sense of peace and calm. I died once and saw no "white light". So now what?
