Government isn't exactly shut down, otherwise it would be like Somalia.
Media is just using it to bring in viewers. This sort of thing has happened before, has it not? Whats the difference this time? -
So that means no crime prevention? Or are state agencies still running? They probably don't have enough funding.

Federal law enforcement is deemed essential. They are working.

Also state law enforcement generally is funded by the state. Separate budgets. So that means no crime prevention? Or are state agencies still running? They probably don't have enough funding.

Oh, that's right! We don't want it. That's why the majority of the country voted for Obama and his healthcare platform in '08 and '12 and why senate dens held the seats in 08', '10 and '12. And why the house of reps had several million more popular votes than reps as well. Only difference is their gerrymandered electives. If you'd do a little reading you'd easily find your propaganda faux news talking points debunked. Btw, do you have any clue how much it cost to shut down the government? Certainly more than keeping it running.★Λddi★ wrote:
Yeah, everyone knows we need to spend record amounts of money we don't have and force people to buy things they don't want.Well, by a small faction pitching a teabagger tantrum. That's how.
And I'm the uninformed one?

He presented it 2x, one was accepted, but he retracted it and added 5 bil to ObamaCare funding which was rejected. And congress can't pass a budget alone, they can only get a temp one up for a few months.@King Chaos

Like I said, when you bring something more than manufactured entertainment news black and white cherry picking to the table then we can talk. Uninformed, hell yes. If they didn't know what was in it after a year of debate, A YEAR! -then that's on them and complete bs I might add. It should have been basic knowledge for most of them since it was a product of the Heritage Foundation picked up as Romneycare in Mass where they have approx 98% ins coverage. That was the compromise over single payer. Fully written by the Republican Party. Problem is a dem's put it up. Wrong party!★Λddi★ wrote:

No we can't "talk" because you don't want a debate, just people to agree with you. And no, I'm not a Republican. -
I'm not going to state anything on the shut down due to me having little to no knowledge about it, but I figured we could all use a little laugh..... Go to nasa's website.
