I went to one with my buddy over the weekend. That place sucks ass. Anybody else been to one? If so, did you have a bad experience?

You actually went in? 😂

They sounded that stupid alarm on me for grunting and dropping weights. I could see if I was being loud, but I just breathe hard when I lift. As for the weights, they get heavy after doing 15 reps. It's too hard to gently lay them down.

Damn

An alarm???
There's one near by here but I never went in. It's looks cool how they have everything set up but then again it's in a more wealthy area than where I am lol I rather stick with 24 hour fitness -
I go to PF in Maine and I've never had a bad experiance nice people and no lunks lol
-
The only Gym I would recommend is Golds Gym . There is also one called life time fitness very cool Gym but very expensive .
-
I haven't joined but I do like the alarm idea. My rule is if you can't control it, don't lift it. There are gyms out there for those who can't control the weight.

What kind of drop do they consider alarm worthy, anyway. 😁They sounded that stupid alarm on me for grunting and dropping weights. I could see if I was being loud, but I just breathe hard when I lift. As for the weights, they get heavy after doing 15 reps. It's too hard to gently lay them down.

My wheelchair bound friend and I go there. We sounded the lunk alarm while laughing after I declared the day "leg day." Other than that, I've never heard it go off. I mainly use pf for cardio and leave the lifting to my basement gym.

Stop at 14 and use the 15th to lay them down properly? Better than damaging weights and mats. They sounded that stupid alarm on me for grunting and dropping weights. I don't like the suggestion. Honestly most gyms today have rubber mats and floors which works out very well. However my last gym had metal weights but the mats on the floor do a pretty good job of protecting the floor from damage. If you don't have the energy to set the weight down peacefully after your set than that means you're doing it right. You shouldn't have energy left after a workout haha☣ 🎸ӈɪƖƖßıƖƖγ🎸☣ wrote:

Lol I said rubber mats and floors. I meant rubber mats and weights.

LA fitness is where I go.
Nice place. Although this one lady that works at my LA fitness bitches if your still in the gym 1min after closing time, even if you are getting ready to leave. -
I like anytime fitness. I can go in there and breathe heavy with no issues. I also drop the dumbbells when I'm done.

I'm a member of planet fitness. It's very affordable, Not really crowded, They have hydromassage beds, And I like the fact that they have a stretching area where I can go stretch out before working out. I've been a member of golds gym, LA fitness, Any time fitness, And Ballys. So far I like planet fitness the best for my needs

It's nice. They gave me a hefty discount for being in law enforcement, so it's not much a month either. They cater to guys that like to lift, but aren't meat heads.☣ 🎸ӈɪƖƖßıƖƖγ🎸☣ wrote:

Yea, my girlfriend and I have memberships to the one in our area. I like it. The alarm has never gone off when I was there.

Unless you pushing 100lbs dumbells, there no reason to ever drop your weights.. Belong to PF and it is an adequate gym, not really for your heavy power lifters but for basic weight lifting it is suffice.

Smith machine is absolutely utilized as a Squat rack, keeps your form straight and you can concentrate on better movement!!

I go in every morning do the circuit and go out. In and out in 30 minutes, good workout, fairly empty becaus I go early, and it's cheap.
