Nick knows how important the 5 respect points are to smaller players and players not wanting to spend money. If it's not fixed, it will just be reimplemented. It costs nothing for nick to give 5 free respect points for nothing (which he could do in a transition), the only deficit is ad companies not paying him for views (not that views are that useful, because how many people actually pay attention to the ads, or in that matter, and ad?)
Personally, I think the 5 free respect points should be replaced with a wheel of fortune-style thing with slots having:
5 RP
15 RP
100 RP
You get ER'd
You get horseheaded
You get cement shoe'd
Free common loot item
Free rare loot item
Free turf loot item
Free turf limit
Free money
Lose money
(Money amount based on your balance in free and lose money)
And possibly an extremely small slot:
Car bomb Viper (jk)
Some slots (5 RP) would be repeated.The entire problem is probably just the ad company having technical difficulties anyways.

Nick I think you should rename this thread "Free Respect Points situation" and then sticky it. Someone's still making threads in every forum every couple hours saying "Hey, is anyone else having trouble getting the free respect points, or is it just me?"

I got my free dp today. Whoop-d-fuckin-doo. Now I want compensation for the 2 weeks I couldn't get them. I couldn't sleep or eat that entire time & even ended up in the er due to dehydration. Fuck today's 5 points. I want 500 free points. In fact my wife is entitled to 500 also due to loss of consortium.
