Anyone have any good tips?
Patches are slightly effective.
Can't chew gum or use lozenges.
I'm going to try cold turkey, but I get REALLY agitated. -
i did cold turkey but i let myself eat whatever i wanted when i got urges. i was going thru candy bars, chips abd other stuff like i was starving. havent smoked in 4 years.
-
Look up vapure.com. It's a really good e-cig. You fill it w/ flavored palm oil. You can get it with or without nicotine, I believe. My boyfriend has been using it for a few months with pretty good success.

Ok. Yeah. Last time I attempted to quit, I ate everything in sight. Which isn't totally bad, as a 21 year old male weighing 105 lbs. Haha.i did cold turkey but i let myself eat whatever i wanted when i got urges. i was going thru candy bars, chips abd other stuff like i was starving. havent smoked in 4 years.

yupp e-cigs work well, haven't smoked in 6 months.
-
I've tried e-cigs a couple times and never liked them much at all ... well, I liked the taste and all, but didn't find they worked as ciggy replacements.
-
...I smoke, have tried half-heartedly to quit a few times but of course was never successful.
Of all the people I know who've been successful at quitting, most used the cold turkey method.
Good luck mate!

I'm on the nicabate mini mints, like a small lozenge I stick between my gums. My wife says they don't work for her as they burn to much (and she calls me a wimp)... For her she uses the mouth spray. It gives her an instant hit which removes the cravings.

I've tried to quit smoking. Props to anybody who succeeds. Good luck!!!

Allan Carrs Easyway to stop smoking, look it up, it works

I've been vaping for a couple years now. It's better than smoking, I feel much better. But I'm still addicted to nicotine, and batteries. E-cigarette-forum.com

I have never heard of the spray! I might check that out too.

A friend went through one hypnosis session and kicked the habit. She swears by it. A session was $60.

He didn't want to quit, she did.
She didn't quit, he did.Just goes to show - hocus pocus works for some and not for others lol.

Try this; every time a friend or family member catches you smoking, they win $10. Surely you'd rather keep that money, so I feel it should motivate you to not want to take the risk of getting caught. My bro, sis, and I tried this with my mom. So far so good.

Some chick punched a cop cuz the jails are smoke free to try n quit. I don't recommend that method. I switched to v2 e cig. Haven't had a real cig on 6 months. Good luck to ya.
-
If you are smoking Ecigs, aren't you still smoking? I quit cold turkey many years ago and am so glad I did. Good luck mdpaulk, no longer will you have to huddle in the cold puffing away at the Addicts' Corner area looking like a big Loser!

Get pregnant. Worked for me! Cold turkey!

Try Wellbutrin

Quitters never win

I used an e cig for two weeks. Didn't smoke a cigarette during that time. At the end of two weeks, I put the e cig down. Haven't touched either since.
The two weeks of the e cig were the hardest, and the cravings to smoke hasn't went away yet, and it's been a while. I assume they don't go away, but you can deal with them.

I got my dad to quit smoking by lighting up a cigarette in front of him at age 9.
So your other option: Look up "cancer of the tongue" on Google and hit the images tab. It's like having your tarot cards read, except it's in technicolor.

This probably most accurately describes how it is to be a smoker. -
Let's not sugar coat it.
Quitting is miserable.
You are going to get agitated.
You have to hang tough.
After 3 or 4 days, it starts to get better, barely. It keeps getting a little better everyday.
Every time you think about lighting up, ask yourself "Do I really want to go through this hell ever again?" -
Chantix

I'm 23 and have been smoking 10-25 cigarettes a day since I was 16. I told myself I was "quitting" once, in Florida, after drinking a litre of Gin, throwing a temper tantrum because I hadn't smoked weed in the longest time since I had started, and then falling in some swamp on some shitty resort and ruining some shitty cigarettes, well not that shitty just they were the only cigarettes I had. I passed out and the next day I went to disney with my friend, who smoked. I freaked out in the first line I stood in and lit a cigarette. If I can't quit on vacation I'm fucked! I feel like I just have to go all survival mode and live in the bush for a month to quit. Yup, that's my drunken story.🍻🚬😣I've tried to quit smoking. Props to anybody who succeeds. Good luck!!!
