Like a sign in ones front yard said. "Rob the neighbors house, rape his wife, kill his kids, if you wont to live. He doesn't believe in the right to bare arms. I DO"
No I am not saying do that vulgar stuff, but yes I do believe in the right to bare arms. No we do not need the automatic weapons with 10+ rounds. I was taught that if you can't hit your target in two shots, you don't need a gun, to be responsible, and to treat it as loaded at ALL times unless verified by yourself. We need to stop this needles bickering on who is right, both sides are. Most post I have read has good and bad points.Dose anyone remember that little girl in Texas and a guy broke into the house with intent to rape her. She was and is a responsible gun handler. She shot the dumb ass in self defense. Yes I a plod her for proper use of a firearm. Without the proper training on firearms, she would be dead not him.

Sorry hillbilly, the gun debate is over. What's your stance on marijuana legalization In Canada?😜

This coming spring I'm gonna mess up some snow geese. No bag limit, no plug in the gun, keep shooting until your shoulder turns purple. The skies are thick with em, just gotta make sure one doesn't fall on your head after it gets shot. A few years ago my cousin looked like he had a bout with a boxer after taking a goose to the head.At least we send lotsa geese for you to shoot haha! We control it, it's called winter lol! That's another thing. We....and others, shoot our national bird. Yet we cannot kill Seagulls (that's what I call them rats of the sky) because its the "queens" bird. REALLY?😡 They are pests and need to be eradicated. I hated going to the beach because of them. They shit EVERYWHERE! Every time I see one finding nemo pops into my head. Lol

I fully support the right to bare arms in America. Rolled up sleeves, tee shirts, tank tops, tube tops, bikini tops, even topless is fine by me. It's crazy to me that the government would even consider outlawing bare arms, these puritan prudes need to get a life.

👆This is a more accurate description of my true feelingsI am not against waitin periods for weapon purchases. I think they may prevent a few suicides and probably some homicides.
I am not against requiring some sort of gun safety course before a person can purchase a firearm. Most if not all states already required hunter safety courses before you can purchase a hunting license.
I support requiring firearms to be sold with a gun lock. I oppose the government requiring the individual gun owner use said lock.
If I wanted to buy an AR-15, I think I should be able too. I don't. I find my other rifles much more accurate and easier to clean.
I believe that the second amendment is just as important as the other amendments in the Bill of Rights.

My opinions on gun control:
Do we really need automatic rifles or other large firearms kept in homes? No.
Will banning guns prevent violent crimes? No.
If guns were to be banned, would people still find ways to obtain guns? Yes.
-
Dangit, acidentally hit the Post button by miskate. Here's the rest of it:
Should background checks be done on an individual who wants to buy a gun? Yes.
If guns were to be banned, would it be hard for the gov't to actually carry out these laws, given the large amount of firearms already in circulation? Yes.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
People forget that this was written back in a time when, god forbid, the states had rights, in the time preceeding the civil war. Following the civil war, the states were stripped of a lot of their power due to republican dominance following secession. (Keep in mind that at this point, the party principles were essentially reversed compared to how we know them today). The word "militias" is a reference to state sponsored militias, which were non-standing armies who were completely controlled by the state government (federal government had no control). The amendment was designed so that these states could maintain their militias, in order to preserve their state rights, which were quite extensive. Now, however, state's rights have been trampled on compared to how they knew them in the first half of the 19th century.
-
Because of this, the amendment acts to protect the people from the abuses that are inevitably produced by a federal government. Just food for thought.

Article 1 section 8 of the US Constitution:
Congress shall have the power...
To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;
To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;
Militias were meant to serve The Union, not the individual states.

That's not Thomas Jefferson, it's from Cesare Beccaria’s Essay on Crimes and Punishments. Jefferson cited it in his writings as a "false idea of utility".“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms… disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes… Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.”

If guns are banned (they should be btw) it will just be like prohibition all over again. The bad guys will get guns, just as they got alcohol, gun deaths will go up, just as alcohol related deaths did, it will cost millions and will eventually be scrapped.
